  7. Also it's not very hard to be the Maxpreps scorekeeper just by simply following on twitter. He chose to follow Folsom a bunch of years ago when he first popped up and it grew into his obsession. He has serious issue with needing attention. I choose to stay away and not give him what he wants.

  15. Block has been a turd…but a harmless one. The kind that doesn’t really smell and is lying away from the sidewalk, with no danger of someone stepping on him. We all know you can’t polish a turd, but you can roll it in glitter. Here’s to the new and improved Block!

  20. Hey, that got folded up before it was sent out. Hahaha. I ain't gonna lie, that meal was kind of labor intensive and the practice ended before we were all the way ready. We were straight up dealing some quesadilla plates when that pic got snapped. Bro... preparing and serving 120 plates or something along that count is pretty difficult. We used to do it 2 days a week, now we are down to giving them the first day of practice each week. Those people give up almost all of their Sundays from August until hopefully December annually. Used to also give up either Monday evening or Thursday evening for the years previous to this one. There is a lot of other volunteer groups involved I just don't know who they all are as it varies day to day and annually. (Usually involves some team parents) I do know that Justin Rogers' wife Melissa Rogers is very involved and puts in at least one day of serving a week. The touchdown club and Ricky Griffin have stepped up in a big way the last couple of years to fill the void that was left when the "Dads" kind of fizzled out. It takes a village.

  24. Block is just trolling everyone. He knows what he's doing and many take the bait. He doesn't actually believe half the shit he says. He openly admits to this. Is it pathetic? Hell yes. But this behavior can be seen on any forum out there by a few individuals. I asked him if he could tone down the trolling a bit and he's giving it a go. Cheers to the new block 😂

  25. I know very well who he is from my years on the NorCal board. The dude has been tested many times on the board about going to games and failed miserably each time. Have you seen his thread/rant about why nobody has created a thread about DLS losing by 2td's to a top team like SFA? Lol. Classic entertainment.

  26. Perhaps down the road, though not being OM would be tough to get off the ground. Maybe head back home and move to the mountains and help a program there when we retire. There’s an odd amount of paranoia in our program and it’s tough to get everybody pulling in the same direction. Higher ups put their trust in people who are in it more for themselves than the kids and community, though I imagine it’s that way at many places. What can you do? Keep fighting the good fight Hawg! We open region Friday night at North Paulding. Hope to make the game, but if not I’ll try to find a way to stream it. Should be a good game. If you’d asked two weeks ago I’d have said we whoop them, but now I’m not so sure. I expect a much better effort Friday than what was given against Brookwood. That was tough to stomach!

  29. It's some special stuff this Packer football program. It only takes a couple of people to get it started, the thing like we do I mean. A few people can do a lot when they're all pulling the same way. I have to say, I met Tom and his family by doing this volunteer work, and we've become great friends. It's a unique thing to get a group of people together volunteering and they have good enough chemistry to stick it out for several years. Not tooting my own horn exactly, but more on about those other folks that have been together through these years since 16 for some or 17 for others... While a lot of people are at church, gone fishing, at the beach or just lounging around in their pj's, those folks are shopping for the team. Planning the preparation. Rounding up help. Actually prepping the meals including a lot of cooking. Then serving it all up to the kids and coaches at the end of the day. 6:30 7ish in the evening when that's all done, then washing the pans and counters and tables. Find some folks like that Larry. Get it going. It's gotta start somewhere. A couple of people that care and then some parents volunteering in rotation. There's 100 kids on the team. That's up to 200 potential parent volunteers. Grandparents can pitch in too. It's very rewarding in some amazing ways. A lot of those kids never forget.

  30. Thankfully...there's always that "nucleus" of people who give their time and efforts...no matter WHO the coach is. I would imagine the pandemic has hurt the situation quite a bit...but...I'll give the people of Colquitt County a shoutout. They'll get the job done...one way or the other. Some mighty fine people live around those parts. Rufus>>

  31. I have to say, while they got a photo of me working, there was and is several people involved in that. Tom and Katina Barry are the masterminds behind the recipes and meal planning. Their daughters, Summer and Montana and her fiance Jamie and Heather Meads. I'm just there for moral support. They just caught me in a rare moment that I was hands on into something. This group of people started out doing this 5 or 6 years go now as part of The Packer Dads. It's morphed some since the coaching change, but, they deserve credit for sticking through those tumultuous times and returning even since their kid graduated and all. Those are some good people that do it for the kids. I guarantee those quesadillas were made with love and they have that "win" cooked in.

  32. The IHSAA will not even discuss dropping the antiquated 300 mile rule. Even with that, I have proposed that Lucas Oil Stadium host a midwest event featuring our top four teams against teams from our bordering states. However, the suggestion has fallen of deaf ears. Remember this is Indiana, where progress is measure with a sun dial.

  34. Good morning girl. Dinner time at the geriatric facility? Anyway, it’s no secret what happened. People talk. Try looking on twitter, you know, where you get all your other servite info Lol. I pity you for being so desperate. Embarrassing. I was told this from multiple people directly affiliated with OLu and servite. Parents and alumni. As i’m sure you remember, I went to multiple servite games during the covid spring season. (Tickets you couldn’t get) I have more connections to your school than you do. I have no reason to lie about what kids are doing in the stands. Don’t really give a shit about what you think, we know all about your character. You can go and find out for yourself. It was bad enough that they had to go public with an apology. This is NOT uncharacteristic of servite. Be thankful there’s no link. Would make you guys look worse than you already do. Go back to posting about the election being stolen!! It’s only almost been a year. 🤡

  36. IMO the best approximation to an objective national ranking is the compilation poll assembled by @dntn31 (Thank you Dntn) But even in that poll there are many teams that sneak into the upper echelon every year without merit. For instance Thompson high (AL) this year.

  37. You're funny. We understand alright. What we are seeing is not what we do. It would be hard for Servite to overcome the amount of athletes. Athletes at more positions is a problem. Some things you just can't overcome. Talent levels are way different. I am bold enough to say here that my team, Lovejoy, would beat Servite and we are the 3rd best team in our region. From what I see, no way they are top anything. We do have the GISA. Stay away from the GHSA Servite.

  38. At no point has the losing side resorted to attacking the seat of government. Not since the Civil war has this occured. August 24 1814 Washington burned when the Brittish overran the city and set fire to most public buildings, including the capitol. So spin away. Those were enemies. This time it was citizens. They all will call themselves patriots. Spin away.
