  4. A coach should focus on winning and player development. Saban is arguably the best at both. He's 70, so he doesn't have 20 more years to fight off others trying to get to where he is. Georgia is in a good position, Ohio State is in a good position. A&M and USC look to be doing whatever they can in putting together uber-talented rosters. Clemson appears to have staying power. We'll see how Kelly does at LSU. The bottom line is Saban will stop coaching sometime soon, and Bama will not be the same then as with him there. For him to say A&M bought all their recruits with NIL money, and Alabama didn't buy any is silly. As of a year ago, the Tide had over 20 players partnered up with NIL deals. Who knows how many they have now? As things are, a 5-star recruit knows he'll get paid whether he goes to Tuscaloosa or College Station. Maybe they'll get more at College Station, so good for them. Hell, if Von Miller or Myles Garrett could get more money at A&M than at Bama, why not? They're making great money in the NFL either way.You never know what might happen -- get it early and get it often.

  5. Yes DLS has a passing team. They're decent. Regarding this topic, the reason MD and SJB are among the best teams in the country isn't necessarily because of their skill players. It's their lines. Very few teams can compete with all those enormous D1 linemen. It's really that simple.

  11. Servite beat Mater Dei 16-15 in the semis, and Nick is right...it means little. Last year Santa Margarita not only beat Mater Dei in passing league, but they also beat Servite...only to lose to Mater Dei by 53 pts., and to Servite twice in real football by 27 pts. and by 31 pts.

  13. It is time for America to become a nation with traffic cops. These cops will be responsible for all traffic related offenses. No longer would law enforcement be involved in these matters, which are not crimes but infractions or violations of civil codes, not penal codes. This will go a long way towards solving many issues with police killing people for such minor things as a broken tail light.

He'll glorify Louisiana for anything... NB and Freebird will knock it because Freebird is a bored house husband and Nolebull is suffering from concussive bitch smack syndrome from all the FL sandbags hes taken to the face

  23. I think this is the truth ^ Saban didn’t call him a cheater but understands that’s if schools have a $30 Million collective for a signing class of 25-30 kids that it’s a no brainer where they’re going to play. A&M had decent classes prior to NIL but nothing even close to this. At all. Kiffin weighed it and called it like it is.

  26. Saban has two maybe three more years left at the top and that's it. The rest of the teams aren't going to allow him to stockpile talent any longer. When the talent is evened out, is when you actually get to see who the best coaches are

  27. Are people typically ambidextrous with both hands and feet? If I tried to drop back as a lefty QB I'd probably fall on my face. But there could be an advantage when rolling out. I don't know a lot about O line, but it would it be an advantage with certain blocking schemes or if there is a much stronger rush from one side? Regardless, it's impressive. Apparently only 1% of the population is ambidextrous, and there's a lot of other interesting things associated.

  28. Do you have any idea how many people are mis-diagnosed at legitimate medical facilities? Schools aren’t very good at medicine. If the family had 45 minutes to argue with the nurse, they wasted a lot of time when they could have called 911 on their own.

  31. I saw The Doors in Miami in 1969. I don't know if you could call it a concert....it was in some damn airplane hangar. Morrison was drunk (no surprise). And he was eventually arrested. So were a LOT of fans. Me and 2 others snuck in without paying. Pretty much a total disaster. BUT...I saw them again later in New York. Best time EVER. I absolutely loved The Doors. Still do.... 32. Seen some QBs and pitchers. Probably the most famous one no one thinks about is lebron. There are a bunch that play/played basketball. Same with baseball. Colquitt has there own. http://switchpitching.blogspot.com/2013/09/aubrey-mccarty-switch-pitcher.html?m=1

  33. Hey ESPN put this kid on TV. If he does switch arms during actual game play that would interesting to watch.
    1 point
  34. I was expecting to see some type of weakness or major flaw in one of his throwing arms. But his arms and throws seem to be equally strong. In my case I’m right handed and I can barely do anything with my left hand or arm. I can’t write or draw or throw with my left arm. It must have taken a few years or training to do what he does. I’m not sure. I do think that some offensive minded guru can utilize his skills in an RPO offense to their advantage. If this kid could pitch effectively with his right or left arm he would make a great baseball prospect.

  35. I understand that. They want an easy preregion this time, no skin off my back. I'm not really huge on strength of schedule stuff, because most folks can't quantify a team's true strength of schedule to begin with. So why did anyone attempt such a thing? Like bring up West Monroe or John Curtis? My point is, this thread was basically about STA playing Ft. Myers. Suddenly someone shows up with something about West Monroe and John Curtis. Lol. I can accept that STA wants an easy pre region. Maybe they're down a little this season or whatever.

  36. Yeah I was thinking about the roll out capabilities. But also being a lefty myself, it’s been pointed out to me it’s harder to catch a left handed spin just due to the unfamiliarity. Also blocking schemes and blind side change. There’s a reason why a left tackle is much more coveted than a right tackle. Now you expose the blind side of your lefty QB with possibly a weaker lineman on his blind side or you have to switch your tackles (obvious tell). I have seen teams have switched their strong side and weak sign lines during a game.

  38. Without a doubt. Problem is the current schedule is not very challenging and if they win 10-11 games they’ll end up in a really solid bowl game and get murdered 😂

  43. USC can make the playoffs, but they don't have the line play to play with Bama, OSU and Georgia just yet
    1 point
  44. Gospel on USC this year. First off, I certainly don’t think we make the playoff but looking at the schedule going 11-1 isn’t IMPOSSIBLE, just not likely and don’t see it happening. A lot has to go right. A lot also has to go wrong for the Trojans to lose 5 games next year. Both CAN happen though. I think 9 wins is what we’re hoping for, give or take one game to still be ok with a first year staff taking over a dumpster fire.

  48. well that's half the fucking problem is people taking "sides". I got news for you the people at the top of both sides are assholes and don't give a shit about you, me or even the folks taking their side. They only care about their agenda, their power and keeping it at all costs even if that means you suffer. Really it is and always has been about greed and power. We "The People" are just a means to an end for these pricks and prickettes in Washington. I will never choose a side because that's what they want us to do. A truly united people is more powerful than they are and that scares the shit out of them. Imagine being for some issue only because some side you chose to join says you have to think how they say.. nope not for me..but you fellows carry on the back and forth. Posting memes and probaganda bullshit from propaganda sites. . what's it ben 10 years and none have you has convinced anyone on the other side of anything....Time to jump off that merry-go-round and think for yourselves.. just saying
