  1. He does a good job explaining this: HOW I FEEL ABOUT TRUMP ~ by Steve HarveyYou've been on vacation for two weeks, you come home, and your basement is infested with raccoons.. Hundreds of rabid, messy, mean raccoons have overtaken your basement.. You want them gone immediately!.. You call the city and 4 different exterminators, but nobody can handle the job.. But there is this one guy, and he guarantees to get rid of them, so you hire him.. You don't care if the guy smells, you don't care if the guy swears, you don't care if he's an alcoholic, you don't care how many times he's bee

  3. Agree on Republicans running on conservatism and doing what they want when they run for office. Both parties have politicians that say they "cut spending" when they only cut the PERCENTAGE of the INCREASE in spending (example: instead of the original 12% incresae, they settle for a 9% increase). Any tax break will affect those who pay the most taxes the most and the top 10 % pay over 50% of the taxes. Nonetheless, if my tax cut means $500, I will gladly take it. SS money to me is bipartisan. I would also say they are for limited regulation - not no regulation. Also, these politici
  4. Only looked at the first link - I have to say the economy was as strong with Reagan as with anyone, maybe more. He eventually had his tax bill passed the second or third year, as it was blocked by a Democratic Congress. Clinton had success as a continuation of Reagan's policies, with a slight interruption of Bush 1. Clinton benefited from a newly-elected Republican Congress with their "Contract for America." After two years with a Democratic-controlled Congress, Clinton's first two years were bad. The economy had strong years in the mid-60's BECAUSE of Kennedy's tax cuts - he was dead by
  5. Not when Congress keeps spending. Besides, Obama ballooned the deficit more than anyone. I mentioned what needs to be done and it's the proper course.
  6. Control spending Increase revenue by cutting the tax rate The revenue is one thing, but unless they control spending, there will be a permanent problem with the deficit.
  7. Give me three issues and I will give you my position.
  8. Fast ones like many other Republicans: telling the constituents what they want to hear, then doing something else. We don't care if he has no ideology: more than enough are good enough for conservatives. And he has more respect for us than most politicians. Do you think Obama cares about you?
  9. You and your fellow liberals don't get us and don't want to get us. Yes, you are a liberal - conservatives and moderates wouldn't call us words like "stooge" when it comes to subjects like this. All you can say is we've "fallen for the propaganda." Again, moderates and conservatives would not say that with this subject. Read my post above from 5 hours ago above this one. Points 3 and 4 sum a lot up about myself and conservatives. What we like about Trump is he fights back against all the Democrats verbal blasts and some of the stuff that the two-faced Republicans do. Yes, f
  10. Wrong! half the Republicans don't want him in the White House. Of the other half, half will hate him in time, once they're around long enough to be seduced by the swamp. And it's not because Trump is wrong: it's because he's a threat to the Establishment. And yes, some liberals like to say they're "fiscal conservatives," much like some liked to say they were conservative Democrats 20-30 years ago.
  11. 1 - first off, he might have said what he said or maybe he didn't. It was leaked from a private meeting and those leaks are not always truthful. What excuse did I make? Tell me. We don't know what was said or wasn't said. As for the Norway comment, really? you're looking for something. 2 - Tell me how those three (I don't know much about the fourth) don't loathe the country. Heck. at least 20% of the Democratic party dislikes America. They like an America they'd like to see, but not what it is or was. 3 - Trump wants to do things that many Americans, including working class Democra
  12. Are you effing kidding me? I call it the way I see it and my beliefs are my beliefs that come inside of me. Most of my thoughts are independent and that's something you liberals don't understand. You think we say something because it was on Fox News or we heard it on talk radio. A majority of this country is right-of-center. They may not always vote that way, but they live their lives that way. And mainstream America fears the Left a lot more than they fear they Right.
  13. In a perfect world, I would agree with your first sentence. How many people can we allow in? Unfortunately, there is too much balkanizing of this nation. They're this-American or that-American. Certain groups do what they want and don't assimilate. Some in California raise the Mexican flag, while taking down the American flag. They're not here to be Americans.
  14. One thing I forgot to say: If he said it - and that's an IF - when leaders oppress their people, those people are not going to reach their potential. I see it as a reflections on their leaders. In addition, why shouldn't we want people who can contribute to America in a positive way? Every country should want that! When so many want to come here, we can only handle so many. I think if the people from those countries - and it's more than Africa - are allowed to be more free, they can reach their potential. Yes, they can do it here, but we have so many wanting to come here, we can only allo
