  1. Yup! He's 51, so he's got time before thinking about retirement. We need some continuity.
  2. Kinda. I'm not mad about it, though. Everyone seems to think he's a solid guy on and off the field.
  3. BREAKING: Allen finds its next head coach Allen High School will hire Midlothian Heritage coach Lee Wiginton as its new head coach. He will replace Chad Morris who resigned his position in mid May. Matt SteppMay 23 8:19 am For the second straight year, Allen ISD wasted very little time in their search for a head coach. On Monday, the district announced Midlothian Heritage's Lee Wiginton as the next head football coach for the Eagles. Wiginton, a native of Lampasas and the son of a coach, is well-respected around the state, as evidenced by his election as president of the Texas High School Coaches Association in July. He will serve as the organization’s president in the 2022-2023 school year. In 2020, he was named the THSCA's Grant Teaff Beyond the Game Award winner. A 21-year head coaching veteran, Wiginton's career featured stops at Bosqueville, Comfort and Mexia before arriving in Midlothian ISD to take over at Midlothian High in 2010. After five seasons leading the Panthers, Wiginton made an unusual move in 2015, going across town to open up MISD’s second high school, Midothian Heritage, where he's had good success. In six seasons at the helm at Heritage, Wiginton has a record of 60-17, with a 4A Division I regional final appearance in 2019 and back-to-back regional semifinal appearances in 2017 and 2018, suffering hearbreakers to Kennedale and Carthage, respectively. Wiginton has a career record of 157-89. Wiginton began his coaching career in 1993 as a junior high coach in San Angelo ISD. In his first season as a head coach at Bosqueville in 2000, he led the Bulldogs to their first ever 11-man playoff appearance. Wiginton has ties to Allen ISD superintendent Robin Bullock — prior to coming to Allen in 2013, Bullock spent thirteen seasons in Midlothian ISD administration and was on staff in 2010 when MISD hired Wiginton away from Mexia.
  4. Please let it be Fleener!
  5. I have a feeling that's gonna rise substantially.
  6. He'll be like third on the depth chart. He had a very productive season in Juco.
  7. True. LOL. I was talking 2011.
  8. Would still get 12000+ stuffed into old stadium. Band was almost as big as today.
  9. This was mid 80s. It was 8.5 miles from where I lived (UTD area). 30 minutes or so with traffic. Went to JJ Pearce for my Junior and Senior year. That was a much better drive.
  10. I used to drive from Richardson to st marks. That was considered insane, back in the day. LOL!
  11. I just figured out his parent's got divorced, so that could explain it. I was just trying to figure out how they were bending the rules.
  12. I agree, but the family lives in Allen. I have questions...
  13. Anyone notice that Allen's Evan Bullock transferred to Anna? It's weird, cause it's the superintendent's kid.
  14. Too bad this is the first game for Allen. I would have liked an opportunity to assess the progress since last year. There should be a lot of progress in the offseason, but don't know how much is reasonable to expect.
  15. It was already there (Built in 1978) and has been in use as the freshman center since 2000. Before that it was the main HS. It was expanded recently and renovated, just as the HS has been. There has never been and will never be overcrowding in the building or the classrooms. Don't comment on that which you don't know.
  16. Allen couldn't finish drives. Had 500+ yards of offense and a couple of turnovers. SLC pass game not impressive and DV made them one dimensional.
  17. Crickets for a couple of hours.
  18. Beautiful thing to see after all the shit talking by SLC fans on the Texas 6A board.
  19. The SLC defense has cracks. Did you see how many yards Allen racked up yesterday? I'm leaning towards DVille being able to finish drives and take this. They'll certainly do a better job stopping the run.
  20. I think this is a terrible matchup for Guyer. Tomball will run all over them.
  21. Tomball will kick the shit out of Guyer.
  22. Every now and then. I mainly just look for the big matchups, especially if that team has played a Texas team.
  23. That's what I am hoping to see. Won't be an easy task, though.
  24. If they get by SLC and DV/DeSoto, I see them winning it all. It's going to be interesting to see how DV/DeSoto plays out.
