Whoah...I originally misread your post.  I thought you said...what's wrong with Ivanka's father?

And I was thinking....we're about to set a NEW world's record on the number of posts !!!!!

Thank heavens I stayed on the precipice....

The guy's not a talk show radio host, but the president of the United States. Private corporations, not unlike his own,  make business decisions every day concerning their future earning potential. Daddy knows this, he wrote the book. What's next, calling out the ten year old who took little Trump's red wagon.....grow up prez, this is the big league

If I'm Nordstrom's, I'm filing suit.

Do you think this is ethical behavior by the president?

If you're Nordstrom's, you're about to piss away some good money on legal fees. There's nothing in that tweet to build a case on. Zero.

He's bitching about how they treated his kid. That's it...no calls for any action against the company. You people are seriously flirting with Full Retard here.

I don't think so. He tinkered with tweeting about companies as president elect and saw effects from it. Today, he tried to do the same thing, but it backfired because Nordstrom's ended the day on a high note.

As president he has to be held to a much higher standard. If he had a problem with Nordstrom's on a personal level, maybe he should have made a phone call behind closed doors. A public attempt at rebuking a company like that could be considered slanderous and a breach of ethics from the office of the president.

It affected the stock price didn't it?  I agree that is not his job to even comment on it.  Good or bad, his tweets have influence and have had an effect.  Don't understand how some folks (the ones who are obviously smart) can't find a single thing that Trump is doing that they disagree with.  At least not that I have read.  Can't figure if they are being serious or just contrary.  Or a seriously contrarian. ¬¬

You didn't answer the question.  Do you think this is ethical behavior by the president?

simple, protect the tribe

Not sure any on here are a member of Trump's tribe.  You may be right.  I know that if I had tribe members who thought every single thing I did or said was just great, I would be a little suspicious of that tribal member.  I mean I know I'm great but everything I do is great?

It's snowing outside right now, I may have to go and sit with my fellow snowflakes and contemplate my snowflakyness.

it's a normal human reaction. People default to the tribe mores instinctively.

Over millennia it provided safety and protection (to be part of a tribe). Plus, not having to think independently saved energy. Thinking consumes energy.

I agree that it was unprofessional, and an  ill advised move. That said, the idea that Nordstrom has any legal standing to sue him for it is just dumb.
