Chipper Jones' HOF induction is ALMOST overshadowed!

At Suntrust Park in Marietta yesterday, the Braves' Sean Newcomb took a perfect game into the seventh inning, and was one STRIKE away from pitching a no hitter against the Dodgers! When the Bums leadoff man hit a solid single to left in the ninth inning, on a two out, two strike count! Congrats to Sean on nearly pulling out HISTORY against the top team in the National League!

His performance was nice to see yesterday! The Braves pitching staff has been getting pounded as of late. He had several rough outings over the last month. Hopefully Sean is getting his form back in time to make a push for the division crown.

I wouldn't mind seeing us trade Julio and few prospects before the deadline to help bring in a missing piece for a deep playoff run. Julio is done and should've been traded before the year because his stock is continually dropping with each game.

Right now, the Braves are a starting pitcher, a shut down reliever, and one more power hitter away from competing for a WS trophy.
