FootballGuy
Do y'all think that a four team playoff for high school should be created? Propst mentioned that after Katy was crowned national champs (2015). In addition, Bishop Gorman and Colquitt were named national champs in two separate polls as well. who would y'all have picked as the four teams from the 2016 season to play in the four team playoff if it existed? Ararar
Problem...For some teams that would be 18 games....Most states won't let teams play past state.

Fun fact the one of the first HS Bowl Games involved Valdosta. It was Valdosta @ Montgomery BBell Academy (TN) Valdosta Blanked them 34-

No there should not be a National High School playoff for football. Too much risk for injury imo.

It's funny how Valdosta has the most wins while De La Salle has more national titles than anyone
Nolebull813
The best way to make a playoff is to schedule crazy non district, conference, region games like you are trying to win the MNC. Bishop Gorman has to schedule OOS and when they do, they do it with the mindset of trying to win a MNC. So if Rush is trying to win a MNC, get rid of teams like Enterprise, Pelham, International House of Pancakes, Cocoa Puffs and the 100th ranked Cali team and schedule some national Giants

I was hoping to see them play IMG after they had won state that season.... but it fell through. I wanna see them play de la salle. Propst seems to have major respect for their coach and program

Ararar
You would need to make league of schools volunteering to play in a national elite championship

They'd claim they had a once in a generation squad and there is no way that IMG is better than them even after having won the elite league championship back to back.
Omaha Vol
Top 3 would be BG, IMG, and SJB. STA/Grayson play-in game.

The 2017 MNC will play out in the Calif State Bowl game. My Once in a Generation offense vs. the best DLS team since 2015

TheMaximumHornetSting
1st issue with forming a national HS league primarily lies on the back of the East Coast... Honestly.... SJB,MD,BG,DLS,ETC they could form a league far easier than any of the East coast teams due to distance.... The only odd man out for them is DLS... But lets say Grayson STA DBP Dematha Allen Colquitt And IMG decided to form a conference.... 1st off... Grayson to Miami/FT.Lauderdale is 10 hours. Dematha and DBP would be the closest teams to each other.... STA and DBP would be the furthest.... And this isn't college..... having to move kids like that week in week out would be hard...... especially Allen and The GA schools.... Colquitt alone has about 100+ players.... TheMaximumHornetSting
Some of the Distances. Grayson to FTL/Miami 10 hours... Dematha to DBP 2 1/2 to 3 hours... somehow shorter than Colquitt to Camden.... (4 hours) Colquitt to IMG 3 1/2-4 hours... depending on traffic. Grayson to Colquitt 3 hours 45 minutes exactly

I'm not necessarily a fan of forming a "league." I'd rather just have the 4 best teams in a playoff after the state championships have been completed. Only thing is this: I'm not sure if BG would be allowed to play in it. It seems as if the nevada state athletic association doesn't want BG to take part in any "extracurricular activities" a.k.a "traveling east of the mississippi river"

DLS is playing St. John's and the bishop. The bishop is playing teams from MD to FL. New Jersey is covered. Somebody down south will play vista murrieta, so GA will be covered. MD plays servite who plays American fork so UT will be covered not to mention the daisy chain to east via IMG and Cen10. Let's hope SJB lines up a TX and/or STA. Then only a two or three step chain to OH may be missing.
