$15/hr and still the highest poverty and homelessness rates in the nation.

But the Hollywood and Silicon Valley types are kicking ass and donating to Dems, so all's good.

Lmaoooo and its gonna get worse. Right now it's at 11 an hour. They said in the article it will get very bad if they actually hit 15 an hour. It's a farce. Increasing minimum wage doesnt work

In Venezuela they took an oil-rich country and plunged it into poverty and starvation.

California's voters and politicians are looking at Maduro and saying "Hold my beer".

That's why the right has to keep pushing back and has to keeping hitting the dems at the polls. Have to keep control of the heartland and the south. We cannot let the crazy left get back in control. This country will be over and I dont want to see the destruction of this country

It’s going left regardless. Minorities vote blue and they will be majority soon. Going to be a shit show

As an employer, I unequivocally do not care about a $15.00 minimum wage. In today's world you will get what you pay for.

The real problem is the stifling regulations and legal liabilities. The state, which welcomed new businesses and produced a great employer environment when I moved our business out here decades ago, has continually moved left and more left to the point that those who were the anchors for building one of the largest economy's in the world ( farmers excluded ) are looking to get out if they have not already done it.

It is a daily occurrence for me to have a discussion about this with other business owners who are also looking to do the same. That is what is keeps us from hiring new employees in the state even though we really could use quite a few more. It has gotten to the point that the additional BS we have to deal with relative to new employees in this state yields more jobs... but at a cost where at best, it is a break even proposition from a profit standpoint... so why take the risk. We are not interested in creating jobs just for the sake of it.

We experimented with a branch of our business opening in the Houston area. Doing business in Texas is such a pleasure that our corp. hqtrs. will be located there and all of the jobs that would have gone to Californians will go to Texas.

It is a shame because Ca. truly is the most majestic and comfortable state to live in... but the shift in its political leanings originally started by well meaning but very naive people has led to a situation where the state will eventually implode and have to start over.
