TheMaximumHornetSting
Me and some friends where talking earlier about NFL expansion. And one of my friends brought up an important question? Which cities realisticly could host another NFL team based on the city and state.... TheMaximumHornetSting
For GA: Honestly I could only see 1 or maybe 2 cities even having the room or money to support another NFL team... outside of Atlanta... Macon-They already have a decent sized Arena with some expansion they could host a NFL team... but they lack the money.... for sure.... I know this sounds odd: Columbus. Wooderson
I see Oklahoma City as being viable, especially if a stadium is placed strategically to draw from Tulsa as well. Only big draw back I see is there's already a ton of Cowboys fans there.
954gator
Maybe Portland or Las vegas? Salt Lake City maybe.
ThunderRam
I know Sacramento could support the Raiders if they'd be willing to move there. We'd never get an expansion team, though. Close to 2.5M metro population and since there are only 8 regular season games and primarily on Sunday's, they'd also draw fans from the East and North Bay areas (current Raider fans), Stockton/Modesto, Reno, Lake Tahoe and even as far North as Redding. They'd have no problem filling up a 50K stadium 8 - 10 times a season for the Silver and Black. It's too bad Davis is set on Vegas or LA rather than staying in NorCal where there is already a long standing, rabid fan base.

They go to Vegas and they might lose a lot of fans. I may remain a fan but I won't be rabid.
Coletrain06
Don't know about Columbus....OSU is king there. Although Columbus does have MLS and NHL teams.

paladin4ever
Looking at the old USFL model, I believe Birmingham could be a viable city.

They may as well stay in Oakland and get a stadium deal done there somehow.

There is a team two hours northeast, less than two hours to the west. Dolphins Stadium is a little over three hours. Do not see Orlando getting an NFL team but it would be perfect if the NFL would support some small minor league setup during season as central Florida would be hub for post college talent. A little over two hours to downtown Atlanta and not a large population to in the other directions. Legion Field is a dump so they would need a new stadium. A lot of local money or very deep pocket owner who does not care about making profit for awhile would be needed.

I think more Southern NFL teams are not a good idea. None of them seem to be really killing it. CFB is king in the South. A Birmingham NFL team would be 3rd wheel to Bama and Auburn. Bormio
A San Antonio or OKC team are the 2 best suggestions. I bet Jerry Jones would be violently opposed to both.
Bormio
I think the NFL is looking to go international for any expansion (I think that is also a bad idea).

The Stallions drew some pretty good numbers in the couple of years they were part of the league. Even though the Falcons are nearby, what is the level of connection to the team? I'm not sure if the locals support a GA team? Agree on the stadium.

NFLwise The Atlanta Falcons have a strong base in GA,North FL,AL,And TN.... the titans struggle.... and the Jags dont do well....
