Well. At least he didn't post a profanity in the subject header.

+1

As far as the question goes, I think we have found out over the last few years they can, but, assuming we are discussing this year...

We'll find out soon enough.

Well except for y'alls QB back when you first came on the national scene.  The one that's playing D1 ball now.  From like 2014

Chase Parrish? Nobody recruited that kid. It was closer for him to go to Colquitt than that private school where he had been before 8th grade.

I do understand the point of the troll thread though. Rab loves to swear everyone that gets a transfer is recruiting. It's pretty unbecoming and I have obviously been trying to get a grip on it all.

Stuff like this does not help. xD

True story. Nothing to see here. All totally legal eagle.

Ha at calling it pulling an Allen. They fly a new one in every other year don't they?

Not saying they recruit at all. Just saying a blue jet with a big orange A on the tail  lands in some city outside of the DFW and a qb trips up the steps somehow and knocks himself out on the first seat. When he wakes up he's fully dressed in Allen gear in front of his locker.

Yeah, Colquitt ain't on that level.

xD

Not sure why, but when I think of colcutts, I picture probst as the coach from Texas with his private jet and "hosts" flying around in Johnny Be Good recruiting Johnny.

Nah. That guy needs to rest after he gets done calling colleges for the kids. The seasons beat him down man. He rests and hunts deer and turkey in the off season. What little of one he gets.

He don't have time to fly around knocking out qbs with billy clubs or anything.

Respectfully, that is a masterpiece of justification.  If he had lived in Colquitt Co I'd buy it but he never lived in the county.  Recruited?  Probably not.  An interesting arrangement though to be sure especially for a fan base so quick to call other teams out.

Again, I personally don't really care.  I just find it disingenuous for some Packers fans to be so adamantly against transfers and move ins when arguably one of the more powerful reasons they won back to back championships never lived in Colquitt Co.   Let a kid that lives in the school district next to Grayson move to Grayson and all hell breaks loose.  Let a group of kids that has played together since 5th or 6th grade or earlier and come up through the Grayson feeder schools and have been at Grayson High School the entire time turn out to be really good and there is wild speculation how they've been recruited and rules have been broken since there is no way they could have developed from within the program.  Speaking of programs, develop a strong program by developing the feeder system and again be accused of manipulating the process because there is no way any team not in south Georgia could do something like that.  Let a kid live with a Grayson coach and Lord knows we never hear the end of it.  Let multiple kids live with Propst and all you hear is how much good he does for the kids.

I know there are other people that have no personal knowledge of the Grayson program that also like to pile on.  I generally make it a point not to criticize another team/program because I recognize I don't know what goes on.  I hear and read things but I don't really know.

Cue righteous indignation in 3, 2, 1, ....

Yes. I understand where the stuff all comes from. I would usually say consider the source.

As long as everything is done above board and per the rule book, I don't think there should be much said one way or the other. I'll admit to jerking chains sometimes on Grayson's transfer situation. Primarily the one that looks pretty bad due to not staying a year, but, I could really care less, the ruling was as it was and it's all in the past imo.

Anyway, yes it may be a masterpiece of justification. Geographically the kids closest two high school options were Brooks County High and Colquitt County. Probably a little further to Thomasville High School and even further yet to Thomas County Central and further yet again to Brookwood where he went before coming to Colquitt. I'd break out a map and prove it all but don't want to give up where the family lives. They have a nice spread it's just in the "high school" desert so to speak.

Today, since the high school in Moultrie moved, it may have been closer for him to go to Thomasville High in all honesty. I haven't measured it but he was around 10 or 12 miles from the school. Today it would be closer to 16 I think.

Definitely a strange situation. It's an odd anomaly though. Colquitt isn't seeing stuff like that on a regular either as the population out there in the "high school" desert isn't heavy.
