OK....OK....Let's Get Serious For A Second

McEachern did not play up to their talent levels.  There....I've said it.  They showed symptoms of "small dick syndrome" in their first game.  It doesn't make a lot of sense cause the Injuns are a Big Time program.  They should have been prepared to go.  They simply were not.  They have several more games to correct the issues that curtailed any chance for a victory in the Benz.  It'll be interesting to see just how they handle this little kick in the derrierre.

Colquitt opened up a LOT better than they have in previous years.  They seemed to be more focused.  They made their share of mistakes but they were able to overcome them.  I was personally concerned with our punt team.  Also...our tackling needs to improve in certain areas.  We need to utilize the "wrap them up" method instead of the "blow them up" method.  Mo and crew should work on that.  Lime Sink graded out the Hawg O-Line at a solid 85.  I'll take thay anyday in an opener.  I also liked the Game Plan.  Run the ball.  Pass sparingly.  Give Jaycee a chance to grow and get comfortable in his QB position.

When I told you gurus....Colquitt was down 2 starters...I was not joking.  One of our D-Ends is probably gone for the year.  We could have used him to help with the pass rush.  The other feller is our MAN-STER.  Our nose tackle.  He'll be out 2 more games.  We could have used him PERIOD.  But...we found a way to adapt, improvise and persevere.  Not bad for a bunch of poor, tiny, little, undersized and inexperienced Hawgs.

Oh...and one more thing.....

Marvion is a Baller.....(Smile).

I think Colquitt worked them after finding their weaknesses in the first quarter.

McEachern has all the tools. They are a rich program and have the intangibles, and as Rush said the other night, "They've been right there knocking on the door." They just haven't kicked it in yet.

Agree with your assesment on game plan. Colquitt worked the game plan to perfection. Run the ball, run the ball, run the ball, allow Jaycee to manage the game and mature. Loved seeing the tight end play with Hadley and Boatwright working the blocking and Hadley rumbling down the sidelines a couple of different times. (One called back due to hold, the other fumbled out of bounds at the end) ball control a little sketchy there.

That Hadley is a load.

I think we are in good spot. The coaches have all held how they thought we would be close to their vests when asked directly, but, I think it's out of the bag now.

We are solid. We are deep. We are going to grind them down to nubbins. 4th quarter strong baby!

Special teams! God they are a thing of beauty. It's awesome seeing good special teams play after a week(end) of virtually none.

Go Pack Go!

Hawg....I didn't think our punt blocking was up to par.  Now...in all honesty....Ryan Fitzgerald is a WEAPON.  That kid has a future.......

Well, this is also fair. We have work to do. Returns as well.

Comparatively to what we saw from all the other teams in the Corky this year... We are light years better on special teams.

Ryan Fitzgerald. Pre-season All-American.

UGA better get on board soon. I already told Ryan that the UT Orange And White just ain't his color. xD

They promptly asked me if I saw the Purdue billboard thing. I haven't still, but, that kid will have a lot of choices.

Good for him. Great kicker and great kid altogether.

Yall ain't lying about Special Teams...

3/4 ths of these teams should just go for 2.

I did have a slight issue with none of the Colquitt players not taking up for their kicker when he got ran into.  That kid is gonna win AT LEAST 5 games for Colquitt alone.  Hard for Offenses to go 80-yards consistently.  And if the other team dont get a couple of 1st downs...that = great field position for Colquitt's O.

Gotta keep him healthy and protected....Even if an OL has to ruffle a couple of feathers.

My 2 cents...

I found it interesting that Rush was talking and running so many run plays.  As a massive (to say the least) proponent of the spread and passing and having said in the not too distant past that run teams are a thing of the past, this is a sea change for him.  I think it is a recognition of you have to game plan and play with the talent you have vs the talent you wish you had and kudos to him for acknowledging that.  I'll be interested to watch the rest of the season to see if the Packers stay with the run predominately of move back more to the pass.

I think it's safe to say that Hawg Air will be Hawg Ground for 2018. We have 3 legit future Power 5 running backs. Hopefully we only throw the ball when we WANT to, and not be FORCED to. I'm perfectly fine with our inexperienced QB throwing the ball 10 times per game.

I'd bet on seeing the run until someone finds a way to shut it down. Then obviously the air game will have to get going or else.

It's not that we can't pass. Looked to me like not much of a need to. We'll pass enough to keep em honest I'd imagine.

Speaking of kickers, you notice how our state is producing a lot of really good kickers lately?

Y'all have one in Ryan, Valdosta has a really good kicker, Peach County had a really good kicker last year, Northside has a good kicker, etc.

So Rufus says MacEachern possesses small dicks but can’t see his own.

Oh woe is me!

Just a couple of things if I may....

What I said was McEachern showed symptoms of "small dick syndrome".  I never said anything about their dick sizes.

Secondly...I'm kinda surprised you would tell the board stuff that you supposedly know about me and my dick.  But then...that's Buford for ya.

Well, when in Rome.... you mentioned “small dick syndrome” and I figured you were suffering from penis envy or were stuck in one of Freud’s psychosexual stages of development... oral or the other, I dunno just helping out.

Grayson is Gonna Stomp a Hudhole on the Packers

A. muD Holeeee

If Grayson can get off the front page of the National Enquirer and stop auditioning for housewives of Atlanta and get back to hard work and hitting they may be able to play in the mud of said mud hole.

Cutt is doing what he’s learned at Buford, no different... here’s hoping that the Rams get it together and ..... QUICK.

The season is upon us and Colquitt and NG are front and center right now, I hate NG.... hate em.

It's more about how you sandbag Colquitt.

Exactly. Thinking this year will be pretty similar.

Hopefully the end result will be the same too.

Hopefully.

I haven’t seen this QB y’all have enough to be honest, but Parrish was a good QB. That said he was obviously a lot better in 2015 than 2014 (and asked to do more)

Remember his first start against Hoover? Pick six right before the half. I think the gameplan to get his feet wet yesterday worked great. But they were afforded to do that behind that OL/running game and defense. If the game NEEDED more passing I’m sure it would’ve been called
