This Morning's Perspective About TC vs Colquitt

Morning Gurus....

We got another one in the books....and yep....it was as lopsided as it looked.  Just a quick completely biased look at the game and the final outcome.....

1.  TC was terribly undiciplined.  I expected more from their players....maybe because it's a Catholic school...but theu defi itely under impressed.

2 .  The TC QB....Mr. Williams....was as good as advertised.  The kid could fly and he had a tremendous arm.  He did get a tad skiddish at a point in the game...but he held up in the long haul.

3.  I don't believe TC is the 2nd best team in Missouri.  They can't be.  They do have talent....just not top caliber talent.

4.  The Titan defense had NO answer for Colquitt's Mr. Edwards...(Smile).

5.  A win is a win.  Now we hafta get ready for next week's Zach Attack.  Zach Grage will have something up his sleeve no doubt...but maybe...just maybe....our Blackhats will be ready.

calpreps has rewarded Colquitt with a #13 national ranking......

I doubt very seriously Trinity Catholic is #174 though....they might be a Top 400-500 team. Then again I wasn't impressed with a lot of the football I saw this weekend.

13 Colquitt County (Norman Park, GA)   team preview   trend Georgia AAAAAAA Region 1 AAAAAAA 2-0 0-0 1-0 69.7 44.3 1-2
WINS: #125 McEachern (Powder Springs, GA) (41-7), #174 Trinity Catholic (St. Louis, MO) (42-14), LOSSES: none

Rufus,

Congrats on the win.

I predicted 41-13..so I was right there on the score. But..it possibly could have been 63-0 or pretty much any score that CC wanted  it to be.

Colquitt went pretty vanilla the entire second half.

We'll be better next season because of how these first two games played out this season so far.

Rush said after the game we played a 9 man OL rotation beginning in the first half. It was encouraging to see very little difference when the backups were in. I'm not sure Daijun played any in the 2nd half and much of the starting D was out shortly after halftime, I believe.

It definitely appears it will be a definite reloading of players next year.

Leggett didn't even wear pads last night.

Daijun played 1st half only.

Spradley got the bulk of carries in the second half.

1.  TC was terribly undiciplined.  I expected more from their players....maybe because it's a Catholic school...but theu defi itely under impressed. Undisciplined and frustrated early

2 .  The TC QB....Mr. Williams....was as good as advertised.  The kid could fly and he had a tremendous arm.  He did get a tad skiddish at a point in the game...but he held up in the long haul.

It was obvious midway through the third quarter, started falling down anytime a black hat got near him. Other than that freakishly good athlete. Hes not 510 170 like they have listed. He’s shorter than me by an inch or two

3.  I don't believe TC is the 2nd best team in Missouri.  They can't be.  They do have talent....just not top caliber talent.they do have the top caliber talent. QB, RB, and one WR. Only problem is they seem to be pure athletes and lack proper training. Add to that an offensive line with size but no technique, wideouts that have never played against a shutdown corner

4.  The Titan defense had NO answer for Colquitt's Mr. Edwards...(Smile).or the offensive line

5.  A win is a win.  Now we hafta get ready for next week's Zach Attack.  Zach Grage will have something up his sleeve no doubt...but maybe...just maybe....our Blackhats will be ready.

TC was the 53rd best team in MO last season per CP. They'll be slightly better in 2018. CQ needs to start working on its OOS schedule now!!!

Like I said Before This weekend was Ass Backwards

Colquit should have played at St Johns and Johns creek should have played trinity

They werent 53rd. Their schedule just sucked... They beat everyone 70-0 except LNorth.

Colquitt will be good again next year.. Ill love to see em play a top Ohio, BNU, or MD/DC school.

Or... Tejas.

Too difficult logistically for far away power privates. I was thinking a Dade public like CC.

Would that change is National TV was on board? I’m not going to pretend to know the ins and outs of scheduling teams like PGL does, just wondering if that would make a difference. Do you think Fox sports might want to get in on the National HS scene instead of regional only?

Maybe PGL can set up another Freedom Bowl/Buford-Doubleheader type deal and get Colquitt to come up to Atlanta and have SJC meet them there.

While thatll be in Georgia, that is very much a neutral field. Atlanta is not Colquitt country.

Seems like we end up spending so much time in ATL every year it Might be worth getting a peach pass
