sausmann9
Not sure how old you are but assuming you are at least 27 but not older than 46, you've probably seen some of Bufords best teams over the years. I was in Warner Robins area (Byron and Centerville) for almost 9 years combined b/n 1994 to end of 2005 and almost 2 years in Marietta (b/n the Big Chicken and Walker School) so I got to see a good amount of really good football around the state. Buford is one school I never really made the trip up to watch. What I want to know from someone involved w/ the program is this; which Buford team since 1995 is considered their absolute best and why (their O, D, etc...) which three teams are Bufords best since 1995??? I remember a span b/n 2000 and 2003 or something like that at which Buford was nearly untouchable. I rememeber a defensive lineman named Thor as well. Do you know who I am referreing to and if so what seasons did he play??? He was pretty tough ass kid. tx.

I need no specifics on you BGW, just what you think of the two questions and a quick why. tx.

Jeezaloo, Although the same but differing in era, you got Dexter Wood era building the program, then you got Jess Simpson.... Talent wise the 2012 class was the greatest in terms of power 5 schollies, but under achieved losing in the finals in overtime. 2001-04 was pretty damn good.... here's artice from 3 yeas ago that pretty much talks to it. http://www.gpb.org/blogs/gpb-sports-blog/2015/09/03/buford-wolves-most-dominant-georgia-hsfb-program-ever This speaks to Dexter Wood's legacy... https://www.bufordwolves.com/page/show/2722001-buford-football-history I gotta git, but I'll be back with some more stuff... I can't recall Thor... that seems right but that name escapes me. Regards, BGW

Thor played defensive end and tight end, brothers played with him...Thor went on to West Virginia... can't recall, how he did... we had so many go on. The consensus with me and my buddies... and my buddies are dyed in the wool born, bred, until dead Buford thought the 2001-04 group was the greatest of all time. I'm kind of that group.... however the most coveted bunch of assembled talent was the 2011 actually not the 2012... was the most talented but underachieved and a couple went on to shame the Buford program with their off the field antics. Regards, BGW thanks, good stuff. And yeah that's him, Thor Moore. Cool name but even better player. The only Buford game I saw live was when they beat Dublin in the Dome around Turkey Day but can't remember the season.
