Melania Trump gets off the plane and reads the Our Father! Reads it, she is so devoted to it she needs read it,  in barely understandable English. She then says how she will champion causes dear to her for the American people. What, fashion?

Think of the irony.

Then Donald speaks and everything he says are obvious lies. 

I laughed at first. Then it hit me. One third of the country believe him.

Why can't he pursue his agenda as an adult? 

He won, OK, we shift further right. But does he need to act as a cartoon?

You sure do have a lot of questions you ask yourself - you need a therapist brother?  Not sure a public national hs football forum is the best place to get existential and find answers to all of your angst.  Maybe you and your boy DBP66 from Orange County can share one of those black couches and talk it out.

I realized long ago that I learn by asking questions not by having answers. I am intellectually curious so I want to learn. 

I understand that some are less open minded and take offense to being challenged.

I would submit that those that do not question, instead take umbrage in what they don't want to hear are the problem.

Understood and actually couldn't agree more.  But I would like to bring to your attention that the audience you pose questions to and forum / framework in which you do so are just as important as the questions themselves.  Thanks.

Agree. 

Realize too that sometimes questions are more than just questions.

Both you and DBP66 should hold your own show: "infatuated with the trumps" (from a left wing looney point of view).

But I am not!

Sarah Palin was the one politician I was consumed with.

I will say, he and Sarah have much in common. 

 

Honest, I roared in laughter when Melanie read the Lord's Prayer. 

First, she had to read a prayer her audience can receipt backwards at age 5.  Instead of realizing, "she's not like me' the war chant  of the right, they ate it up. 

Then it was barely audible because of accent. Again, the irony. This audience hates folks who are not "real American's" 

But my laughing stopped dead when Trump spoke. He just lied. I thought, "this guy will have hand to hand combat in the street if he keeps doing this."

Hence my opening post of "funny or scary."

 

Understand, please, don't stereotype. 

Trump won the election. I respect that. As a result we will have 

dirty air and bans on immigration and travel. Not what I want but I so what. The world won't end.

We will also have a  larger divide between rich and poor. Again, not what I want but I am not taking to the streets over it. 

I lost, I respect the majority vote (as flawed as our system is)

We will get a wall. It's expensive symbolism. A waste of money. I won't lose any sleep over it's intent though. 

I do enjoy irony so Melanie's pray was very note worthy. 

and I am concerned, because I know that people believe truth to be whatever suits their wants and is repeated over and over again. 

You, I and all educated Americans know Trump just flat out lies to push his agenda. A large chunk of Americans will start to believe his lies. That is no way for a society to function, with 38% of American's getting their truths from one's persons agenda.

He went in the bounce house a nerd boy and came out a man.  Luckily he happened to have a natural affinity for making the ladies smile or he could have been arrested.  What if he botched the whole bounce house business?  Probably would have been a bad ending for the movie though.
