They could have beaten Colquitt at marbles or something that I wasn't paying attention to. idk.

Are you stalking Colquitt bro?

Do we need to get a protective order?

So lowndes 10 and 11 graders not good enough to play varsity beat the Packers 10 and 11 graders that aren’t good enough to play varsity... I guess that’s important for some reason. Can someone else tel me why that’s important... I’ll wait

Ok so Lowndes and Colquitt JV have played...

Maxpreps needs to update...

Nah, the 7, 8, and 9th grade teams are the future of the team. Plus the 9, 10, and 11th graders that are already on varsity and playing on Friday nights are the future of the team

i mean there already a few of the best 9 th graders getting playing time on fridays... wonder if the JV team would’ve done better with them playing

I think it may be important to that Jersey cat because he needs Colquitt to lose somehow some way.

If varsity won't lose, he has to grasp at straws.

I still can't believe how crazy it is that he is following the Packers JV that closely. He must have quite the hard on for all things Colquitt to be all over it like that. I usually don't even learn the JV, 8th and 9th grade scores til the pregame show on Fridays.

Unless, someone calls me and tells me something that happened interesting or whatever.

Cmon dude what about 9th 10th 11th graders that don’t start that need actual game experience on JV Before they can contribute on varsity

thats just arrogant to say JV football is not the future of The varsity team

There are some players on the JV that may play next year on varsity. The team is not anywhere close to what will be playing next year though.

Idk how SJR does it, but, this isn't some private school where maybe this year's JV is next year's varsity.

We rotate in the players that prove to be the best and build the varsity from them. Sometimes, kids from the 9th grade team may make varsity having never seen the JV squad. A lot of the kids playing JV will never be on the field for a varsity snap. Some of them may be on the sideline though.

About the only reason I pay attention to the 8th, 9th and JV squads is to see what talent we have coming down the pipes.

The scores and whatever are fun to follow a little bit, but, really aren't much in the way of tea leaves for what the varsity will look like next year.

I'm pretty sure Lowndes scored a victory on our JV last season as well.

Of course a lot can happen between now and the final week, but right now Lowndes is a pretty big under dog.

That JV victory last season isn't going to save them from a probable beat down.

Okay if my theory is correct then lowndes should win the varsity game this year

Players like QBs and rbs that could start in a year or two are probably playing JV. The JV QB this year will likely be the backup guy next year.

This is what I've been trying to explain to folks about depth in a program. We have two/three qbs on the varsity roster. The third stringer is probably the kid that played the JV game this afternoon. Idk that, but I assume that is who started the jv game.

This is why it's so difficult to understand and quantify what happened in JV to how the varsity will be next year.

It's also part of the reason why pollsters and people on here that follow Georgia pretty closely can't guess at how good Colquitt will be next season. They need to see transfers and movement listed somehow to get a read on what a team will be. The region one teams don't operate that way so the pundits aren't pumping the teams like they are metro teams. They can't foresee what the teams will be without articles on who moved from one school to the next.
