FootballGuy
Fellas, I know this is a high school football blog, but I just gotta know something: Would y'all marry/date a woman who couldn't cook?
golfaddict1
Wasn't expecting that question with the subject header lol. But OK, I'll say it depends on one's income and/or desire to dine out a lot. Or if the guy enjoys cooking the majority of the time and is good at it it's cool I suppose. My wife is an excellent cook. I'm blessed. I grill often but nothing fancy.

Flip the question. Should she marry/date you if you couldn't cook? There lies your answer.

World Citizen
Just now, FootballGuy said: let's take it up a notch. Should the man be a "househusband" while the woman brings home the bacon? Awesome. I think if both agree it would be fine. Ultimately it should come down to how each can be happy. If a man would be happy as a househusband and the woman is cool with it, I would be cool with it. Doing something you truly enjoy is the goal. Everything else, like money, is irrelevant to happiness. Btw. In still after that goal. Very elusive imo.

Can you imagine how pissed women would be if they found out that the husband was a househusband while the woman supported them financially? But if it was the other way around, a lot of women wouldn't say a word about it. They'd probably say, "Well, that's what a man is supposed to do." Understood. But in the eyes of her friends, regardless of what you and her agreed upon, you still would be looked down on. Gender equality is something else ain't it? Lol They might look down on me but then they might not, that really speaks more about their self worth than it would be mine. Certainly wouldn't want to make decisions based on others perceptions.
