Rufus69
"nooner".....some math for ya.... Colquitt has played (5) teams. Colquitt has beaten all five. Now...if you take away the Colquitt loss from each of those (5) teams....their records would be....14-2. That's right....14-2. Not necessarily...chopped liver. Your welcome..... I went to your favorite source to identify the top teams in the country and their schedule strength. #1 in the country is IMG, schedule strength of 34.1 and their opponents win loss at 4-7 #2 SJB has a SOS of, 37.1 opponent win/loss of 10 and 13 #3 MD has a SOS of, 35, opponent win/loss of 5 and 13 #4 SFA... JOKE #5 SJC has a SOS of 49.6 opponent win/loss of 7 and 4.... Getting pretty good here #6 STA has a SOS of 19,3 and an opponent win loss of 5 and 6 Tired of typing out all these so we'll skip to your favorite team... #11 Colquitt County... THE PACKERS... SOS of 40.7 and opponent w/l of 13 and 7 40.7... Of those I typed that are non Cali teams, only SJC has a stronger schedule. You boys don't have a leg to stand on.

HawgGoneIt
It's quite interesting having a way to document SOS and shoot the small fries down so easily. Cal Preps is quite a tool. It allows us to document and reference every team in the country, and applies numerical value to things like SOS since guys like the ones in this thread don't always know the names or values of certain teams. We all know that in the macro, there are many good teams in the country, and being that it is high school football, often, teams emerge as good seemingly out of nowhere. Cal Preps helps us to identify these, and school folks like the ones trying to demean schools with little or no evidence.

Sadly, Cal is no longer applicable for GA. The "Opie Bounce" has negated it's accuracy. On a serious note, Colquitt plays a bunch of good teams just not nationally strong teams. This keeps their average up without being challenged. (Think DLS)

Pumpkin's mouth. Without that, we would not have the black eye thread or the dozens of threads like this. We all know GA has some great football. Not just more like TX. What it does not have, like last year, is always a top 25 team. Never-mind 14 top 100 teams. If you can get Opie to stop with his wild claims and unparalleled excuses you would not have to endure the blow back. I hope the little guy never stops as I have a hoot with this! Your team needs you and your support. You could be the difference. That one guy in the stands that gets into the head of the opposing QB and helps push your team over the edge.
