My poor, tiny, little undersized and inexperienced Hawgs went into the Rams Den...down a couple of players (one BIG one) and lose (3) more during the battle...but still come out a 12 point victor. Blackhats....take a bow !!!!! Shoot....Mr. Leggett...take a bow. I thought we might get a win...but if I'm "somewhat" honest....I thought we'd hafta win it thru divine intervention. The Hawgs were better conditioned. The Hawgs were more focused. The Hawgs were better coached. The Hawgs were the better TEAM...last night. Now there are those who say Colquitt still hasn't beaten anybody of consequence. I mean...Grayson lost to a frigging New Jersey team. I said...NEW JERSEY TEAM !!!! So there's that. And Valdosta...the Cats got obliterated by their Crosstown Archrivals.....Lowndes. And when I say..."obliterated"...I'm being truly kind. Rush said...we just played Packer football. Not flashy. Just good ole hard-nosed football. Yeah...we looked like Ned and his first reader a few times...BUT...we regained our composure and took control the of the game when it was time to take control of the game. Rush also said...we're STILL growing up as a TEAM. Every day...every practice...every game...it's what can we do as a TEAM to get us closer to that AAAAAAA State Championship? And for OLD farts like me....that's what we LOVE to see and hear. Before I go...to start getting ready for the Dawgs at Mizzou....I would be remiss is I didn't say to Fred and the rest of the Grayson supporters out there.... HAPPY HOMECOMING !!!! I’d rather the biggest game be homecoming. It’s not an issue when you win.
