Taught these refs a lesson

We won last night, and the team looked like it was properly prepared. There was a bullshit call last night in the first half, I got up and yelled to get that shit out of here. That jackass was no where to be found in the second half. Ran off like a little bitch.

If we don’t win state this year, I put this one on the parents

Let me see if I’ve got this.  It’s kind of hard to digest all this because you’ve only repeated yourself about 8 times in the past 3 weeks.

1. Cy Fair plays dirty.

2. Coaches just puttin’ on a show for the fans (whatever that means).

3. Parents are somehow to blame (not sure how but I believe you).

4. Coaches (other coaches or the same coaches, can’t tell) not preparing the team properly.

5. Cy Fair tampered with your equipment.

Does that about cover it?  Good.

Now you don’t have to waste energy typing all those words. Just list the numbers for the item(s) that are pissing you off at any particular moment and we can respond with either:

6. Oooh, those dirty bastards, we’re with you,

Or

7. Give it a rest, you crazy loon.

You could have just said “Number3.”

Look at all the typing you could save.

See how beautiful this is?

Premium content only. I blame the fans! If the fans shouted that shit down it would be general admission content, but, they haven't done their part so there is a pay wall for the content.

I hate when it does that.

Basically...Ref got suspended 1 game for being out of position to make a call of whether Benton's game-winning TD against #7 (in 4A) North Desoto was actually caught in bounds. (He did call Pass Interference on the play though).

The ref in question has also been banned from officiating the 1st round of any Louisiana playoff games.

Hell with it...Here's the article:

A northwest Louisiana football official has been suspended for being out of position to make a critical call during last Thursday’s Benton-North DeSoto contest in Benton.

The Tigers won the game 28-27 after a touchdown was awarded to Benton despite it appearing that the Benton receiver was out of bounds late in the game, according to Mike Thibodeaux, the LHSAA’s supervisor of officials for the Shreveport-Bossier City area.

“Everybody makes mistakes, but there is a degree of accountability,” Thibodeaux said. “The official had thrown his flag for pass interference on the play and got caught up with that and wasn’t in a position to make the correct decision on whether the catch was in or out of bounds.”

“It’s frustrating to me as a coach that everyone on social media seems to be pointing to that play and not focusing on the fact that our kids are playing hard and being shown the respect they deserve,” Moore said. “Even if that play hadn’t been ruled a touchdown, we would have had a first down at the North DeSoto 14 and likely would have scored anyway.”

North DeSoto coach Scott Abernathy did not return two messages left on his cell phone seeking comment about the play.

The official in question, who was not named by Thibodeaux, has 12 years of experience officiating high school football. He will not be allowed to work his regularly scheduled game this week and will not be assigned to officiate a first-round playoff game.

“I want to make it clear that he was not suspended due to a judgment call, but because he was out of position,” Thibodeaux said. “At no level of play will an official be suspended due to judgment. The only other reason for being suspended is for misapplication of rules.”

There is no recourse for North DeSoto in appealing the game, according to Thibodeaux.

“You can’t go back, because so many other things happen in a game. There is no video replay in high school football,” Thibodeaux said. “And there’s no protest to the LHSAA.”

Apparently another official was not in position to assist with the call.

“The official was in the proper position when the play started, stationed at the goal line, but was supposed to move to the end line when the goal line was threatened,” Thibodeaux said. “Nobody feels worse than that official. He told me he didn’t sleep at all that night.

“But there were 156 plays in that game. There were a couple we could have been better on. I tell officials all the time that people only remember the calls that happen in the last two minutes of a game.”

See, this coach knows what it’s like. He is going through what Midway went through last year, except Midway’s was worse. And I don’t feel sorry for these fucking refs. They need to learn to get it right. And the coaches need to man up and confront them when they miss a call. And parents who don’t know football need to shut up and keep their noses out of this business. If the coaches don’t have the balls to do it then I also blame the administrators for failing to properly screen a coaching candidate. For the Cy Fair game, I put the blame on the administrators too. They screwed up. It’s time the state starts cracking down on bad refs and ban their asses from officiating another game ever again.

If i were in charge, i would have a first offense banned forever policy. This shit would end quickly.

You wouldn't last 5 minutes in an officiating role. Not even working the chains. And as a coach? You'd be done before your first preseason scrimmage. Administrator? Nah, an education is required. What about stepping up to be one of those parents you blame? On the other hand, that is not a good idea at all.

Shit, you think Panama was tough!

Better watch that tone. None of these pussies would have even made it off the god damn plane in Panama. And you don’t know me, so you don’t know my educational background. So shut your dumb ass up.

Bullshit you wouldn’t

If he wouldn't have lasted 5 minutes in Panama, whose fault would that have been?

His parents?

The Panamanians, for tampering with his equipment?

His CO, for not having him prepared?

The UN peacekeeping officials?

I’m going out on a limb and saying every one of them would have made it off the plane.
