Well.

North Gwinnett lost a real Team player.

Aaron Mclaughlin  the #1 QB in the class of 2021. And a current 8th grader has announced that he will be transferring to Buford.

Aaron Mclaughlin is currently in 8th grade but already has over 8 offers rolling in....

UGA

USC (CA)

FAU

Georgia State

Michigan

Ole Miss

Indiana

Missouri

FSU

Get this only in 8th grade this kid is 6-4 205 pounds....

Aaron McLaughlin is a 5* QB no doubt. Most likely #1. Buford is going to be in good shape. They are now coached by ex-Roswell HC John Ford. Great Coach... probably better than Jess Simpson.

Harrison Bailey will be a 5* in 2020. Very likely #1 also. Hes #1 overall at rankbyoffers.com. Plays at Marietta for the ex-Oscar Smith(VA) HC. Offers from Alabama, Georgia, Florida, LSU, Miami, Ole Miss, Tennessee, North Carolina, etc etc... pretty impressive for a Freshman.

Im really hoping Otis Reese 4* DE will transfer to Colquitt. Hes at Lee and he is a big kid and a verbal commit to Michigan. But the Florida Gators have been eyeing him too...

Why would he transfer to Colquitt...? You hear he might?

I doubt it.

No. Im not saying he is Im saying I hope he will. Colquitt has a gravitational pull on South GA right now. And if that bill passes.... Colquitt will be a public STA.

I have no doubt in my mind that Colquitt would see a massive influx....

ECHS I'll be real....

In South GA Sports especially Football is viewed as a way out.  A way out of the middle of rural nowhere.... thats why  you see teams like Colquitt and Valdosta act so disciplined. Thats why you see their players  give everything their all.

The coaches might seem like douches sometimes down here. But in all honesty they want there players to do the same thing..... to get out.  Unless you're in Agriculture,Your family owns a business or something up that ally.... theres really no reason to be in places like Moultrie or Tifton.

Now dont get me wrong both places have great communities....  great people. But the opportunity is extremely limited.

Colquitt really doesnt get any transfers(period) from Lee, Valdosta, Lowndes, etc... their transfers last year were a kid from Theodore, AL(CB Shawn Shamburger), a kid from Brother Rice, MI(QB Steven Krajewski), and a kid from Deerfield-Windsor, GA(TE John Samuel Shenker)...

Not many transfers...

We are looking at available rentals for the families of Mr. Reese at Lee and Mr. Barrett at Lowndes as we speak.

We've also made a few calls down to Bradenton to see if they can spare a couple B team linemen.

Lol... Good one.

But man.... imagine Barrett at Colquitt and Reese at the University of Colquitt. That would be very interesting

Word has it that many college recruiters have encouraged Barrett to come to Colquitt to play as a TE/Hback, and receve instruction from Propst. His future is not at QB, and all of the colleges know that.

Why in the hell would they want him to play H-Back at Colquitt when he's clearly proven at quarterback?

I'm pretty sure Rush would love 4 him to be his QB.

You think Reese would be interested in transferring to Colquitt tho?

And if Barrett were to go to colquitt, then they would have to get that offensive tackle (3 star) from Lowndes as well.. lol. I

Because he is not a proven QB. Running the ball straight up the gut for 6+ every carry does not translate to college QB unless you can do other things. He cannot make the plays through the air when he has to.

If Barrett ever played here, he would most definitely be catching passes from Krajewski and maybe playing some LBer.

He is a great athlete, but not a college QB. He is more likely to play LBer in college than QB in my opinion.

I have no idea about Reese. That was for pure entertainment. We would certainly welcome him if he chose that route.

gotta disagree with you on that one. yes, he's a great runner, but he can really sling that pill.

And it looks as if LSU is interested in him playing QB

Yes, he has a strong arm, but his accuracy is not their, and his mechanics are lacking. He's got a lot of improving to do.

It's fitting that if he were to play QB in college, then it would be in a run heavy offense.

Watch his highlights from the 2016 season and look at his passing highlights...because you're making it seem like he's not a good passer at all.

He completed 132 passes out of 217 for 2759 yards. 27 TDs to 6 ints. Averaged 212 yards per game, completed 61% of his passes.

Not accurate enough?
