Checking out the NRA twitter this morning.....

Not a peep on Pittsburgh. Just your typical wing nut, elections and gun bullshit.

Did find this nugget......the S.W.O.R.D. Int'l MK-18 is now available to the civilian market as of yesterday....

This semi-automatic sniper rifle, built on the AR-15 platform, was previously only available to the military. The MK-18 includes a number of innovative and proprietary design features, such as its self-regulating piston system. This system removes carbon fouling from the upper receiver and bolt carrier assembly.

$7,000 for this gun.

If bubba and one-eye aren't big truck tire broke he about to be gun broke..

On one level this comment is funny, on another profoundly tragic. Many lives will be lost over the coming years with this military assault weapon in the hands of crazed members of the public. And, judging from the overall level of discourse on this board, it seems that a much higher percentage of the population than you would think fit this category.

....profoundly tragic means nothing in 2018.

May as well laugh at bubba and one-eye..☺️

This is a long distance rifle. Rifles like this have been available to the civilian market for years. There are existing custom and non-custom factory rifles that can match or exceed the performance of this rifle (because there are rounds that are ballistically better than the 338 Lapua Mag).

I own a 338 Lapua.

I didn't think so.

Learn a little about what you're posting before spouting off mindless drivel. You are bashing something that you know nothing about.

Please refer to the comment section of this websites if you must be a total dumbass.

Says the guy bashing something he knows nothing about. Rifles like this have been out for years now. I guess you are unable to grasp that. Or maybe you're ignoring it on purpose.

You do know that this site features an ignore feature.

This rifle will unlikely be used my mass shooters due to cost.  AK 47 or AR 15 cost much less and pretty much will do the same damage.  The people buying the MK 18 will be mostly collectors and gun enthusiasts.

MK18 with the right optics, ammo ($5/shot or more), will be at least $10K. Unless you plan to shoot at 2000+ yards, then you don’t need it.

And yes lower caliber AR and AK platform rifles will do a lot more damage because of their ease of use.

Please for the love of God don't anyone let ChipTard the WonderMuffin know that civilians can buy .50 caliber rifles that make this thing look like a popgun.

Chip's got a special kind of stupid.

Like I give a shit about the juice of these assault weapons. Doesn't get my "dick" hard, know what I'm saying beautiful concha?

The civilian popualtion needs access to even more military assault weapons.
