Yes, let's reward Chandler for getting whipped in one OOS game, struggling to put away their second OOS opponent (a team that's mediocre at best), and snuffing out a series of no-name in-state opponents.

If you're going to take the time to do rankings like these take the additional time to do them right. It's obvious that nobody who attempts to incorporate the Arizona teams has any remote clue about those teams or the state as a whole, and frankly the lazy pandering is offensive. Either do some homework and make an attempt to actually know what you're talking about or leave the Arizona teams out altogether.

As we've said, you're better off in national rankings having a running clock put on you by a team from a different state than you are going unbeaten and destroying a bunch of teams from your own state. This site has only two pinned threads: One for rankings and one listing OOS games. There's a reason that second one isn't titled "2018 BIG games". The public currently sees the biggest games as those vs. teams from different states, valuing the OOS component over everything else.

I could accept that if people weren't so uneven in how they apply that "logic". They look the other way when Chandler loses by three touchdowns in a game many favored them in, but hold a one score victory by Peoria Centennial that the masses saw as a likely loss against them because the team they beat is "really down", and yet we don't apply that same logic to Chandler allowing 21 second half points to a 6-4 Faith Lutheran team. Or they applaud Pinnacle for losing a close game to the ugly Kardashian sister of the Trinity League while ignoring the fact that Pinnacle has struggled against some very ordinary teams from their home state.

The whole point of competing in anything is to actually win. I can see rewarding teams for a moral victory here and there, but frankly all Chandler has on the national stage are moral victories. As a program they should be past that point and the expectation should be that they have to assert some level of dominance in those August/September OOS tilts instead of allowing Geico Bowl mismatches to be how they are measured as a program.

You think North Shore is that good?

I’ve seen 3 of their games.  They are very good at every unit and play, especially on defense, with a high level of energy.  Good passing game (a 5 **** WR who can do it all) and an excellent run game with a player (5**** RB) who I’d bet will be the next big time RB to come out of Tx.

They will be extremely tough to beat.

I don’t want to sell Allen short b/c Allen in the trenches is talented and very deep.  Two heavyweights for sure if it happens.

I have no doubt they could beat Allen. In not seeing a beatdown,  though.

Allen hasn’t been beat down in over a decade. That’s quite a track record.

It will come down to how quickly Allen starts off and penalties.  North shore starts off strong and they don’t beat themselves with silly penalties. (At least in the games I saw)

I don't know about that.  NS's Evans and banks are both 5**** recruits as well as Allen's Wease and are ranked higher than wease in their respective class and position.

NS DL is their best unit IMO.

I understand Houston and Dallas aren't close (By any means I've made the drive...)

But Allen and Katy cant get together on a Saturday or something?

allen needs to schedule up nationally.  Katy would get worked this year by Allen about as they did by north shore.  There are plenty of teams across the state for Katy to play, Allen not so much.

Katy is closer to most of the name brand Texas teams I'm used to seeing outside of Trinity and Lake Travis...(I mean LT and Katy are only 2 hours apart).  But still that traffic is something else I suppose... But Allen could easily get some Oklahoma powers and some other teams to come play em...

Katy would get a game from pearland, cy fair, cy falls, klein Collins, cy ranch, Westfield and atascocita gave them all they could handle in a game earlier this year.  They don't need to leave Houston really.  But their schedule has been pretty good the past several years.

Westlake would be a load too.

You do know westlake cloubbed lake Travis this year already?  44-14.

No I didn't...

Surprised LT is usually a pretty solid well coached squad...

Wtf happened that caused them to get whipped like that...
