Bishop Gorman the best team in 2016?

Probably.

Its also according to what time of the year it is. Some teams really are better after theyve had time to mesh.

BG probably really was the best though.

LT, Grayson, STA & SJB were all playing great at years end, but BG beat 2 of those teams during the season so... you have to give it to them.

Disregard what maxpreps and USA Today thinks.

In your opinion, was Gorman really the best team in the country last season?

Yeah...easy to be the best when you can recruit and put together an all star team. That's what you call the easy way out. I don't care was OOS teams they play. And this is not just directed at BG.

So call them the best, but not impressive at all to strong-arm teams with all the extra talent.

WHY are you people always up Gorman's ass? A trained chimp could coach a team with playas from three or four STATES! DUH! They are just a cut under IMG in recruiting! I'd laugh my ass off if the Nevada association, prohibited them from qualifying for the state playoffs, like they do IMG in FLAAAAWDA!

Rab, answer the question. That'a all you gotta do.

And who's up Gorman's ass?

Grayson went to work after the IMG loss. The only close game they were tested in was the McEachern game but McEachern is always good.

The only Cali team that I really liked was Mater Dei.

But in my opinion, I feel that Grayson was the best team and then BG or Mater Dei

If you daisy chain then yes

I think that woulda been a game of "who's gonna out-talent who"

I kinda would prefer IMG to win but the fact that IMG struggled with a public school in CC and struggled with Bishop Sullivan, I probably would put my money on Gorman to win that game

Yes, I would say the Bishop was #1. They did what they neeed to do. Schedule is always going to be hot garbage at the end because It is Nevada. But they did what they had to do in the front to earn it in 16'.

They have another top heavy schedule from what I've seen. I would like to see them play Desoto, Lake Travis, or IMG if they have another open week

Lol. Shouldn't they have been penalized for making contact with the center when they missed the field goal in OT?

Yes.  Watch the LS movement.  Great athleticism by Bolden but a penalty.  Should have been 1st and goal from chip shot range (that attempt was 25 yds) with Red Auerbach lighting up a cigar while the ref walks off the yards... even Spock left his seat and headed up the steps.

The question should be had the game played out with a proper call was IMG number 1 in 2016, with the answer being yes.   But since the clusterfuck play was not penalized... yes * BG was number 1 last year.   :)

You know they weren't gonna make that call against BG. It's sad, but when you're in Vegas, you're gonna get "robbed."

That's why I would like to see Gorman go to Florida and play, but it seems as if they can't travel to the south

Tate Martell said that thy tried to make that game happen this past season, but it fell through

Yes that is true, Allen didn't want the game last year. They may not want it in 2018 either, but I'd like to see it and think Allen will have the headliners to match up

I'd say so.   Like most years they were beatable, but based on schedule/results/eye test...yeah I'd say #1 no question.

They better thank Booker T. Washington for knocking Aquinas off that #1 spot in the USA Today rankings. But all in all, Gorman was a great team last season. I just feel that Grayson woul've beaten them
