RedZone
Social media is so cruel and evil sometimes.........and, easy! Would have been nice had Georgia won the Sugar Bowl. Not sure it changes the vent or social rant... The State of Louisiana just wasn't very kind to the Dogs this year..
BUFORDGAWOLVES
Two years running, Dawgs lost Sugar Bowl... you think my Dawgs would be motivated to reverse the trend against a 4 loss slapdick? NOOOOOO...... BGW
BUFORDGAWOLVES
We’ll see what exactly Kirby was doing in Tuscaloosa besides collecting rings, won’t we? Regards, BGW
HawgGoneIt
While I'm not in the locker room at UGA, the attitude, swag, will to win etc., doesn't seem to be there any more with Kirby at the helm than with Richt. Instead we get the wierd shit where kids on the team feel so entitled that they tweet at the committee, seemingly without repercussion from Kirby, they start tweeting about transferring out while the season is still underway and shit like that. I believe, I'd have left Fields sat in his dorm at UGA. Probably that coupla other tweeters too. Clearly the team didn't really want to be at the Sugar Bowl anyway. Just leave their asses at the dorm and let the second string play. They probably would have loved to have the chance to play. Probably would have played harder. And the first string that was so entitled that they felt no need to play after they whiffed at the playoffs would hopefully see that the entitled culture they were living before the Sugar Bowl wasn't going to be happening at UGA.
HawgGoneIt
Totally OT of this instance, but, Coach Cutt at Grayson should have done something similar when the team bucked on his practices. Gotta put your foot down as a coach. These coaches are letting the "talent" run the show. Clearly it's not the right path to win the big ones.

Problem with tax payer school systems especially with the pc/outrage culture that seems pervasive now, that very thing you speak to is permissible at Colquitt and Buford where autonomy’s the norm not the exception. But yeah, absolutely. BGW

Are you kidding? (Bold part) When its mattered, Georgia has shown up. I would like for Kirby to just start from scratch, and deflate the players heads. They haven't won a title yet. Atleast not the big one.

That's the point Mr. Worley was trying to make, and I seconded. If you aren't planning on giving your all... just sit home and let someone that will give it their all play.

Georgia did play a LOT of young guys on D. And they did well considering all the inexperience on D. Which is what made me think, maybe hes prepping for the future with this game. Brian Herrien (RB) played more in this game than he has all season almost. For the most part though, the O was all there. Fromm was overthrowing guys, he threw an INT and pretty sure he fumbled, Swift had 2 fumbles... It was an uncharacteristically sloppy game for the O. Which is why I kept saying, ok the offense is about to turn it on like they always do. But it never happened. Fromm couldnt hit a deep pass to save his life & the one accurate one he threw, Holloman just dropped. If you heard the "Holly Rowe Report", and read 247sports' report... Smart was having to sit starters due to lack of intensity in practice. I think the players were just disappointed in not making the playoffs.... Having to play Alabama, and then watching Notre Dame make it sitting at home championship week, and Oklahoma playing Texas... Who sorry, still isnt THAT great. The important thing, in the grand scheme this game meant nothing. It isnt going to hurt the team... It happens quite often. Look at Michigan, they were in the thick of it... They lost in their last game and were knocked out of contention... Then Florida clobbers them in their Bowl game. Bama lost to Utah in 09, and Oklahoma in '14 in essential consolation Bowls. When a team is right there, and has a let down its hard to get back up for a game that leads you no where. Take into account almost half of Georgias defensive starters didnt even play. Texas had EVERYTHING to play for... This was their biggest win in a decade. Georgia essentially gained nothing. I get that it SHOULDN'T be that way, but it is. It doesnt mean anything for next year or the future. I wish Kirby would've kept Fields, Ford, & Baker home. But apparently Baker had the teams blessing... DevilDog
Texas played 8 freshmen lineman as well. Starting safety did not play. This guy had videos before the game talking about how they would kill Texas. But respect for him he didn't offer excuses. And appears to be a popular personality.

181pl
He's 100% correct. You should play unless your hurt to the point where your performance will suffer. For the very few handful of junior players who are ready to declare (probably less than 100 a year), the NCAA should buy insurance policies for them out of their VAST revenues. Hey, you may have a devastating injury that keeps you from the NFL, but you'll have $5 to $10M to put in your pocket.
