Its becuase Alabama has followed the blueprint to win championships just like Florida colleges have.

Be really successful in home grown talent, as well as getting top flight recruits from bordering and national states to help contribute.

Texas prides themselves on focusing primarily on in state talent only and either is directly and knowingly sabotaging themselves, or they are just too stupid to understand the formula. Lol.

I would not call it sabotaging as Texas colleges have done quite well with homegrown talent.  They may not have won NC, but that only goes to one school annually anyways.  But overall, a few of them have been good over the years.

I'd say Miami has mastered that... FSU is starting too..... but the gators have not.... dont give FL too much credit.

During this time period 6 national Championships have been won with a majority Texas kids on the roster.  Again Texas is the only State in the History of College football to win a NC with 90% of the players starting and on the roster from Texas 2005 Horns. Who should have played for it in 2008 also.   Alabama loves comparing themselves to Texas which is really strange. Like winning a NC while getting their asses kicked by Texas. Which during the AP, UPI years were just guesses.  Texas is 7 - 1 -1 vs. Alabama during this time including beating NC bama team that was given championship before the sugar bowl. Bama is the dominate program now no doubt with talent from all over the USA.  including recruiting Texas hard as well as FL. LA. and Ga.

Hoover has 99 HS championships in AL and 1 got a Texas beat down with all Alabama kids. Even won State meanwhile Allen got boat raced here.  Was it coaching or Texas Talent.  I will assure you Hoover would not rule TX HS Football with all that Alabama talent.

Yes a few kids here they were after went to Colorado. Mainly the WR from Desoto.

SInce 1965 years Texas is 3 - 1 vs. Alabama and a fucked up shoulder from McCoy being 4 - 0 arguably.   Prior to that they were 4-0-1. Was it talent or Coaching?   Yet Bama have all those AP trophies.  Bama won NC in 64 over Texas yet lost to them in the bowl game.

Alabama had last won a legitimate MNC in 1961, and I covered their Hall of Fame coach, Paul "Bear" Bryant in the linked article. They were also the AP poll's regular season "champion" in 1964, but lost their bowl game to Texas, and I don't consider them to be a legitimate MNC for that season.

There are many of these type teams including Texas in 1971 given NC the week before losing to Notre Dame in Cotton Bowl

Bama without a doubt is the most dominate Team in  College football in the current era.  It is Talent from around the nation.

Only Florida (FSU, Miami, Florida), Texas (UT), and California (USC) schools have won national titles w/ (at least) 85% of their roster and 95% of their starters being from their state.

Alabama, not so much. A little more than half of their roster and about half of their starters were OOS.

Look at Alabama, recently...

2009 - Greg McElroy was their QB and he was from Southlake Carroll HS, TX. RB-Mark Ingram was from Detroit and RB-Trent Richardson was from Florida. Other star players weren't from Alabama either: Donta Hightower (Tennessee), Javier Arenas (Florida), Barrett Jones (Tennessee), Terrence Cody (Florida), Kareem Jackson (Georgia), James Carpenter (Georgia), Brandon Deaderick (Kentucky), and I could go on.

2011 - Star RB-Richardson (again, from Florida) and RB-Eddie Lacy (Louisiana). Other stars: Chance Warmack (Georgia), DeQuan Menzie (Georgia), Damion Square (Texas), Jesse Williams (Australia), Anthony Steen (Mississippi), and I could go on.

2012 -  RB-Eddie Lacy (Louisiana), Ha-Ha Clinton-Dix (Florida), Amari Cooper (Florida), Cyrus Kouandjio (Maryland), Trey DePriest (Ohio), Damion Square (Texas), Xzavier Dickson (Georgia), and nearly the whole OL (Chance, Barrett, Cyrus, etc), and I could go on.

2015 - RB-Derrick Henry (Florida), A'Shawn Robinson (Texas), Jonathan Allen (Virginia), Cam Robinson (Louisiana), Reuben Foster (Georgia), Cyrus Jones (Maryland), Jarran Reed (North Carolina), Calvin Ridley (Florida), Eddie Jackson (Florida), Tony Brown (Texas), Denzel Devall (Louisiana), Da'Shawn Hand (Virginia), and I could go on.

More times than not, teams like Alabama use a massive amount of OOS talent to win NC's. Look at Clemson this past year, QB-Watson (who won them that NC) is from Georgia... not South Carolina (where Clemson is located). Their RB-Gallman is also from Georgia. Other stud players on that Clemson roster that are OOS: Artavis Scott (Florida), Christian Wilkins (Massachusetts), Dexter Lawrence (North Carolina), and Carlos Waktins (North Carolina).
