I use to LOVE basketball. I’m a child of the 70s and 80s from SoCal so I loved the Lakers and Celtics rivalry. Sure those teams were filled with hall of famers but the TEAMs were bigger than the individuals despite the stars. Today’s game is all about individuals and marketing players instead of teams. I guess I am old fashioned but I still prefer teams over players.

Cali #1 Sierra Canyon is getting schooled by Montverde. Rancho Christian soundly beat also so overall not a good day for the state of Cali high school basketball.

Yeah but Monverde and a lot of these other schools are like IMG basketball programs.   Is Sierra Canyon just your average Cali private or are they an Academy?

Sierra Canyon is not an academy. They are a ‘regular’ private school, albeit one that recruits heavily.

Funnily enough, I never got into basketball. Enjoy the athleticism of the elite players, but never fell in love with the game itself.

I like basketball at all levels, but my viewing choses are limited to NBA playoffs and the NCAA tournament and also the Olympics.

Now that Lebron is gone, I don't have much interest in the Cavs; and Golden State's domination is making even the playoffs less enjoyable.

What a great rivalry between LA and Boston.  I also liked the Bulls because of characters like Jordan, Pippen, and off the wall Rodman.

I did like the Cavs with Lebron, but mostly in the playoffs.  The regular season did not interest me.

Lebron's departure was a big loss for the Cavs. But at least this time he won a Championship. I understand why he chose to leave, but it would have been nice if he had finished out his career at home.
