As I said yesterday I don't think Bosco possesses the extra time it would take for an outsider to acclimate himself to the North Jersey non-public situation and be able to recruit effectively. BC & SJR have been extremely aggressive in this area and I think they need to stay local and with someone who could hit the ground running. It just isn't a situation where you can cut your teeth; the DBP program to me right now is at an inflection point and it needs to right the ship asap or risk being 2nd tier for the next 5 to 8 years. Valid point but ill say this sometimes an outsider is needed to see all the issues that maybe surrounding the program

The school is in the best shape of its life EVER. From Enrollment to Academics to Athletics to Fundraising to Endowment, it's humming like a well-oiled machine. Currently, 75% of the student body is paying full tuition. That number has never being higher. Nor has the Wait List been longer. Back in the day, "the tail wagged the dog." That ain't happening anymore. Very few DBP influencers and movers/shakers care if the football team goes 11-0 or 6-5 annually. I agree that this hire is very important and it would help if they get it right, but it's not the end all and be all in the end. ok another BS statement here...75% of Bosco students are not full tuition. period.

If all of the above is true then there is really no reason to discuss Bosco on a national board. They are a bottom to middle of the pack program in the league as currently constructed, but we respect them because we acknowledge their ability to quickly turn it around with the right pieces in play. If they are content moving in the direction that baller just described to us then they are consciously throwing in the towel which means the potential to return to glory is not their goal, therefore we need to recognize them as a normal state fb team not worthy of discussion. Mickeybern
Look to be honest and to keep things fair I believe all these schools play a little fast & loose with their #'s and a lot of times it depends on who you ask at the school itself. On Bc's webpage they claim 75% of the students get either grants or scholarships. I don't know but that seems rather high to me but who am I. So when it comes to the DBP #'s I'll say this: over the last 3 or 4 years they have spent upwards of what $20 million on revitalizing their campus and I do know they are at full enrollment but on the other hand I know several very good lacrosse players from southern NY state who definitely got help getting in and with some $$ granted (so the athletic situation isn't completely on the backburner). I am of the mindset that the DBP football situation is a unique one at the school and one that is still a source of contention both for the administration and the alumni boosters.

All three schools work the same plus or minus. I know several students at bosco in this space whose parents do not pay full tuition bc of the academic aide. So if you saying that these students whose parents pay full tuition after the academic aide is removed then that makes sense...but if you believe that 75% of the students who attend Bosco are paying 17k you are 100% wrong.

There is all sorts of financial aid 1 can get including academic grants that I just believe can allow really anyone in any private school admin to be somewhat liberal with the #'s they put forth. DBP great XC but BC winning indoor track (same coach) and basketball has been very competitive btw the 2 schools. My point is that DBP has made changes both in lacrosse and the wrestling programs because of poor performance Here’s a special 330 a.m. announcement joes Beats Bosco in wrestling stay tuned

That's the ticket. By the way - GSB - How does this personnel change (I don't want to use the term "coach" as to not offend the academics at DBP) impact the "4 or 5 transfers" that Teel had already lined up for the 2019-2020 academic year that you were crowing about a couple months ago (surely due to their GPA's)? Are those boys still planning to attend, full tuitions in hand? 1
