I know nothing about long distance running, but this high school girl from my area is making a lot of headlines.  She is supposed to be one of, if not the best in the country at what she does.

Florida's Grant Holloway, who had never run the 60m prior to this weekend,  runs a 6.51.    Incredible athlete!

60 and 110 Hurdles, long jump, 400 relay, and hey what the hell let him try the 60m!

Check greatest athlete thread.  Lol.   Ridiculous athlete.  He should give the Javelin a go and try the Decathlon.  He’d have some sick points tallied in some events.

Anthony Schwartz best 60 is 6.59 I believe so far.  He just won a 60 event for Auburn.

Yeah man what this kid does in track is crazy.   I’d like to see what he could do in the 100 and 400 just for shits.

he won an indoor 200 this month as well and has the 2nd best collegiate time this year.  Might have been his first time in that event as well.

Last year he beat the 2016 rio champ Jamaican Omar Mcleod in the 60m hurdles! (Set a new record too)

@golfaddict1  you have access to flotrack?   I'd be interested in knowing where he ranks in all the different events he's taken part of.    We used to be able to see like the top 10 in each for free.   Sucks I can't stuff up anymore.    Those types of results should be free SMH.

I don't have flotrack.

The IAAF site keeps up to date it seems.

All-time world, his 60m indoor hurdles is tied for 20th  with 7.42 , his 200 indoors is not top 100 all--time, 60m  is tied for 54th all-time with 6.51, long jump indoors not top 100 all-time.   110m hurdles tied for 48th all-time with 13.15,  long jump not top 100

His PB's currently... 60: 6.51  200: 20.69i   60H: 7.42   110H: 13.15   HJ: 2.16   LJ: 8.13i   4x400: 43.88 leg

2019 indoor world ranks currently (as of 1/26/19)

https://www.iaaf.org/records/toplists/sprints/60-metres/indoor/men/senior/2019  (#1 current)

https://www.iaaf.org/records/toplists/sprints/200-metres/indoor/men/senior/2019?regionType=world&timing=electronic&page=1&bestResultsOnly=true&oversizedTrack=regular  (#6 current)

just getting right from major injury.  He had the fastest HS time in the nation 110H his JR year in HS and was injured his SR year

Another guy that is going to give Holloway some races is LSU's Damion Thomas.    He set a u20 record in the 100mH (39 inches) in Jamaica 12.99.    Also came close in the NCAA championships last year.

Damion Thomas - beat Eric Edwards head to head at the Texas Relays Edwards Jr year.  Then later in the year at the New Balance meet Edwards ran the fastest time HS level 2017

Should be fun to watch those guys compete this year.  Only time I’ve seen Holloway get beat in the 110h was when Devon Allen edged him out in a photo finish last year at USTAs.   Very surprised he didn’t go pro.

@golfaddict1

Grant Holloway came 3/4 inches short of a historic triple at the NCAA indoor championships.    Still got the double though.    He ended up 3rd in Long Jump with a 26 1, winner was from LSU 26 1 3/4.    Anyways Holloway ended up with 27.5 points all by himself and led the Gators to the title.

60mH   7.35  (New American record and  3rd all time world).   The kid from UK once again ran a bad ass time of 7.41 (better than Holloways former NCAA record)   Crazy race from those two.

60m   6.50

Thx for updates Gator.  That Kentucky 110m hurdler really pushed Holloway in both the SEC champ. and the ncaa champ. Looking fwd to seeing him rip a sweet legal time 100 this coming outdoor season.  What a talent.

Yeah man him and Roberts ran the two fastest NCAA 60m hurdles times EVER in the same race.   Roberts woulda beaten Holloway in any of the past runs save this one.    I think they make each other run faster.
