Sha'Carri Richardson from Dallas Carter -LSU - Made some SEC history

She wins 100m and 200m and anchored the 4x100 to first place.  She becomes the first freshman in the history of the SEC to win the 100 and 200 and be a member of the 4x100 relay winning team  - Richardson accounted for 22.5 of LSU's 83 points.

Like I said you have to kill Noah Lyles in the start.

Christian coleman has a great start in Shanghai only to have Noah Lyles track him down at the finish line.  Both run 9.86 but Lyles passed Coleman without leaning looking over at him.  Two others go under 10.00 as well.

Now Boling runs Wind legal 10.13 with only 1.3 with less wind than the other 10.13 guys - I guess he holds the record?

he holds the record Wind legal for boys still in HS

A little quicker than I thought (10.15 guess), but I did mention a peak of 10.12 after states.  So he’s got .01 to go :)   He’s basically as fast as Schwartz was last season.   Schwartz has taken a step back but made the finals in the SEC 100.   Schwartz isn’t 19 yet and is younger than Boling actually.

There are some very fast guys out there right now.  I watched the SEC finals 100 and that was fast.  Never mind the pros... who take up another level.  Christian Coleman for example.

Bednarek is for real.  That guy is peaking right now in the 200/400.

Michael Norman, Noah Lyles,  Rai Benjamin, etc.  some wicked talent out there.

@golfaddict1  Roberts finally got Holloway.    He ran a 13.07 (tied Holloway for 2nd best NCAA ever), while Holloway finished 13.12.    Once again I'm going to just assume those would be the top times in the world in the same NCAA race.

Sucks Holloway lost, but it's great to see that speed in the hurdles.

Great race.  They’ve had quite a rivalry since the indoors season and every race has been close.

Bolt will be missed of course, but track is good feet.  Hands debatable, wow the World Relays was wild.   Watched both on DVR and was very entertaining and also filled with WTF moments.

Poland won the 4x400 womens relays beating the US!  Polska Gora!

DD, a tad better than the World Relays lol.  That was crazy how the Japanese f’d up the anchor pass.   Great athleticism to even keep the baton though running at that speed.

Japan destroys USA in the men's 4x100m at Golden Grand Prix Osaka

• Sunday, 19 May 2019 | Duration: 02:00 | Views: 354

Japanese 4x100m squad defeated team USA in the men's 4x100m relay at the 2019 Golden Grand Prix Osaka (IAAF World Challenge Meet) on Sunday, May 19. The same Japanese 4x100m quartet that was disqualified at last week's World Relays today won in Osaka in a World leading 38.00 seconds.

That is a top 3 4x100 Relay in the world. That 1st leg smoked the USA and 3rd leg extended it.  That stick game is str8 sick.  They smoked the USA.

@golfaddict1.  And remember Sani Brown didn't run in this relay.  Look at the speed of these Japanese guys running against Gatlin in the same Event.  Race begins around the 7:00 min mark.  Remember I said a few years ago they are coming and will be a force.

@Texasball

LB Poly dropping their State's best to a 40.87  I like how Cali records the relays with the Picture in Picture.  Good time.  But will not win Texas.  They finished 3rd at the Texas Relays earlier this year and have not really gotten faster.  Fast Relay team for sure.  The Cali State Championships are really good as well.

@golfaddict1 @Texasball  Something in the damn water in Texas an Florida.  Remember this White Kid from Florida is ripping it up in the Big 10.  He was a 10.5 guy in HS @ Charlotte,  Puntagorda, FL

Ran a 10.11 this year and is the fastest white T&F sprinter in the nation just ahead of Boling.  Plus this kid has the 29th fastest 100m this year in the world and Boling is 36th with a 10.13.

Won the Big 10 100M Championship.  Tx and Fl  So damn similar. 🤣

Between him and Marvin Bracy I thought one of them at least would turn it up.

Bracy made the last Olympic squad and I think got knocked out in the semifinals in the 100.

He was focusing on football last I checked.  He had some tryouts with pro teams that didn’t pan out prior.

When you have guys like Coleman and Lyles running 9.86’s, the sub 10 barrier is no longer a wow factor but a necessity. The new minimum qualifying standard for the Olympics was set at 10.05 for the 100.
