paladin4ever
A new proposal has just surfaced. So many flaws that I don't even know where to begin. Bottom line is more participation awards for the undeserving. http://highschoolsports.nj.com/news/article/-8427399358996911892/revised-playoff-proposal/
Ararar
Yeah 19 champions for a small state is way to many.California has 13 and that's to many IMO
paladin4ever
Agreed. And to think, the proposal brings the number DOWN to 19 from 24.
Ararar
Can't they just make more rounds of playoff games to satisfy schools who feel left out?
Single Wing
New Jersey schools are only allowed 9 regular season games Arara and then 3 playoff games for a total not to exceed 12 games. They now can begin the first weekend of September but they cut the number of games to 12 so that by the first weekend in December football is over. The reasoning being is that they don't want it to interfere with Winter sports, i.e. Basketball and wrestling.
Single Wing
Agree with you GSB, but to the publics, a state championship is just as big. NJ should play down to 4 Public group champs and 2 Parochials but we all know that will never happen.

I just want to clear that up so they don't have to spend tonight in their respective 'safe places.'
