Oh, they will. SJB needs to worry about  how they will replace that talented front 7 they lost last year.

Didn't SJB get dozens of transfers over the last few years? They will be fine. These teams along with Gorman and IMG are only relevant with a stock pile of high profile transfers.

Without the transfers SJB would be getting their teeth kicked in again by teams like Miami Monsignor Pace and Gorman getting crushed by Texas 3A Gilmer

SJB will be fine with ace recruiter Negro at the helm

The last Cali team to travel to play in Brian Piccolo Stadium (De La Salle) got thudded 30-6 by a much superior STA team.

I watched the game and could tell DLS was affected by the humidity towards the end, nonetheless still played with valor.

How does this game look?

I don't want to rehash the game circumstances and not suggesting at all that STA didn't deserve the win, but DLS '11 won CA Open and finished #7 in both rivals and CP's poll compilation, while STA finished outside top 100 at CP (I think in the 70s at rivals), didn't win their own district by losing to Cooper City, and got bounced by Dwyer 6-3 in playoffs

again, am not suggesting STA wasn't good (they beat preseason "#1" Prattville before DLS, but calling them a "clearly superior team" just means you weren't paying attention or are just posturing for benefit of SJB -- the FL guys (for their own reasons) will say that STA team stunk

Don't think SJB lines will be depleted as suggested. They return 2 starters on offense but they played about 8 kids because of injuries last year.On defense they return Spina who got hurt and didn't play the last half of the season plus the kids who played because of his injury. They also return their whole secondary.SJB will be fine and will make no excuses whatever happens in Florida

I'm already on the phone trying to get the Manatee/Bosco refs to take care of that game ;)

Bosco will be just fine. They are accustomed to playing in different conditions and have traveled back east every year for the last 4 years. They bring a lot more back than you may think. All the current new guys have lettered and secondary is loaded as well as d-line/o-line stacked

I guess they don't have humidity in California? Biggest excuse I've heard on these boards is teams losing because of humidity.

No of course not.  SJB seems to be more talented this year than last, plus they return their QB.    Game should be a good one, and I don't think either team is going to be making excuses if they lose.

DBP lives in a humid area as well so it should not have affected them.  It's when you don't live in it and then go play a game in it that it saps your strength.  It took me 2 weeks to acclimate to Florida's Gulf coast and after living there for awhile I would head over to Mississippi and it just killed me.  Totally intolerable and not sure if I could ever have gotten use to that shit.  Now if it doesn't get humid in Ramsey, then forget everything I said as it is not relevant.
