Horsefly
I believe this is TX #4 vs LA #2. But should be a good Battle on the Border showdown. These teams have traded blows with each other in previous years. Who do you have? Thoughts on players to watch etc.

Reb72
might have been a good game... until we lost our QB Kahmann. We needed the offense to keep us in the game, defense is all new and still trying to jell. Our punter Todd is our best player... and he'll likely get the chance to showcase his talents 🤣 I'm afraid this one won't be pretty, we'll probably be lucky to score. The 2 teams we've played weren't very good so the 2 - 0 is smoke and mirrors, the lofty ranking is based off last year. I'll be there though, cheering my Rebs on... anyone else coming? 1
westbankeagle
They have 50 passing yards in 2 games. I don't think the attack will be that balanced. Clock will run though and it will be hard for Longview to pull too far ahead. With ass passing game, WM will have a hard time coming back from being down. westbankeagle
Good news is in LA, you don't need to pass to win.

Problem is we don't have the pass rush we had last year, King will have plenty of time and be able to pick us apart

RedZone
My take is West Monroe lost 3* QB Garrett Kahmann (La--Monroe commit) for the year and now is led by a Rookie... https://247sports.com/Player/Garrett-Kahmann-46078955/ The Rebels will have NO passing game at all or not much of one and will have to win the game running the ball and trying to stop Haynes King...who I doubt has 2 bad games in a row. West Monroe should be more of a challenge than John Tyler. BUT, they aren't the same team without QB Kahmann......just my opinion. It's not that Garrett Kahmann was a 5* or anything, but he was their leader who could throw it and run it.

Frosty4024
Yeeeah Longview has played in Shreveport a lot. They even played a Texas High School playoff game there. They have a decent following in Shreveport since the area covers a few of the East Texas schools (Atlanta, Liberty-Eylau, Carthage, Gilmer, Marshall, Waskom, Longview, Texas High, etc.) As for this game...Rebs have pride. But they dont have the balance Longview has. Longview 31 West Monroe
