How big an upset was that PC loss?

Pretty huge. Groveport Madison is usually pretty terrible. Like they usually get running clocked by decent D1 teams.

However they are currently undefeated and have been blowing the doors off of every previous  team they've played, so who really knows.

But Nptb is right, Pick Central does always seem to have a head scratching loss.

Ed's running roughshod over Elder right now 42-17 as the 4th quarter is underway. Elder still severely lacking in athletes on the defensive side of the ball. But Royer is a damn stud at TE. As I predicted, no one on Ed's can matchup with him one on one.

Nice victory by Ed’s 42-25 but was not really that close

Not at all. Royer was the man for Elder, but after him, Elder could not match up.  Credit to Luebbe though, he was running for his life a ton and should have been sacked twice as much as he was (maybe 6 times officially). If not for his ability to escape the pressure, Elder doesn't complete half those 3rd down conversions to Royer down the field. Elder is just not athletic enough on defense.  This isn't the fastest or most athletic Ed's offense in recent years, but you wouldn't have been able to tell today.

Next week Ed’s plays the best team in Cinci in my mind

shut the run down

Once Wainwright comes back no one will match up with him or Foster.

This team 's ceiling is high

Big test for sure. Miyan Williams is a wrecking ball and just picked up an OSU offer. WW has the speed and athleticism to match up (probably moreso than any team on the schedule), but can they go 4 quarters with the Eagles?  Ed's is making their longest road trip of the year, so they need to weather any early storm.  Good news is that the defense appears to be starting to round into form. Hankins getting healthy is a big part of that. Elder all but abandoned the run today. Lee and Colangelo on the interior and Bixby and Pietrowski on the ends were phenomenal today. Secondary is solid and getting better as little Castleberry gets more comfortable. Only concern is the other LB spots besides Hankins. That is the only glaring weakness.

I agree

D line and Hankins getting healthy

they just held a team averaging almost 45 a game to 25 giving up a TD in junk time and spotting them a short field on the TO
