Makes Boscos W look a little better

Different team than the one that played Bosco. They changed the QB. That’s a huge difference. They always had a very good defense, it was the QB  that made their offense so putrid. Because they have a good line and very good RB from Chicago. So if you’re just looking at Box Scores, makes Bosco’s win look better, but in actuality it’s not the same team they played.

Yeah I agree. They were one dimensional. Felt bad for the running back he was a stud but there was 0 passing threat so sjb wasn’t able to keep it pretty simple on defense

Ya, seems like they really turned the corner offensively with that 7-7 end of regulation score.

What a game and great atmosphere...two totally different games...first four quarters was a defensive slugfest. Gonzaga was a power running team with an occasional pass and so was GC. Then came overtime and neither team could come close to stopping the run. Caleb Williams ran the same QB read about 15 times and scored all four OT touchdowns. Good Counsel finally stopped them in the 5OT when on 4th and goal from the 10 Gonzaga tried a trick play...throwback to an offensive tackle? that had no chance. Good Counsel has no passing game (no QB) and appeared to tire defensively but pulled out a huge win. Gonzaga finally played somebody and couldn't get it done despite a Herculean effort from Williams running the ball. I don't know the stats but I'd be shocked if he threw 15 passes.

These are two very good teams but both have deficiencies...may be the top two in the league but could easily be third and fourth. WCAC should be very competitive this year.

QB is clearly the weakness of GC. I doubt they completed five passes (first td was a trick play handoff to the other QB on a jet sweep who threw over the sucked up secondary for a long score). One OT touchdown was a screen pass.

Nothing has changed except it's a different QB...same offense same issues. And they have several tough runners.

Some of you guys were telling me that Gonzaga was the bomb, and that OLGC was terrible due to the scores of their previous games.  I said that was their style to play ball control and kill clock.  7-7 in regulation is a perfect game for OLGC

You are correct...and Gonzaga hasn't played anybody like the Good Counsel defense.

Ok, I heard they had a couple of TD passes, didn’t know there was some trickery. But, that’s different than the normal GC offense. They have at the very least,  decided to put a wrinkle in the offense. I haven’t seen that one time during the new Head Coach’s tenure. And I like Andy. I’m happy they won.

I don’t think anybody thought GZ was anything. It’s about results on the field, and where teams should be ranked. Not that they’re better than any other team in the conference. I’ve stated many times, Gz has the least amount of talent in the whole league, besides BM. It’s their coaching and QB that has taken them to where they are. They have never had a team in their history with more talent  than DM or SJC.

Yeah, other QB was pretty turrible.  Glad to see they switched to the sophomore and it seems to be working for OLGC.
