The Guru
48-7 35-0 So you're telling me that elevating the Tight Ends coach/Bag Man to Offensive Coordinator and Head Coach wasn't a good idea?

RedZone
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Nunzio Campanile didn’t have any answers. Honestly, the postgame press conferences with Rutgers feel nearly as futile as the games themselves. Why even bother with the questions? “It’s 100 percent on me,” the interim coach said after this 35-0 loss to Indiana, but that’s just the kind of thing a coach has to say after his team gets out-gained 557-75 by a mediocre opponent. It is not on him, or the players who found themselves down three touchdowns soon after the anthem was played, or any other single person. This is a broken record, but, well, they sent me all the way out here and I have to write something: Rutgers does not have enough talent. Period. That’s it. Rutgers had one passing yard against Indiana. One! “That’s almost impossible,” Campanile said, which would be true if this wasn’t the ninth time in 42 games since the beginning of the 2016 season that Rutgers has passed for less than 50 yards in a game. That is an unfathomable stat. And remember: During that span, Rutgers has tried the spread offense, the pro-style attack, some hybrid of the two, and whatever high school offense it is putting on the field now. It has tried up-and-coming coordinators and grizzled veterans and, now, a play caller in Campanile who had a reputation as an innovator during his years at Bergen Catholic. Nothing has worked, and that’s because Rutgers hasn’t had the players to make it work. And this next conclusion is going to be a difficult one to swallow for fans who think hiring a new head coach in the coming weeks is going to turn this ship around. ....read on if interested https://www.nj.com/rutgersfootball/2019/10/rutgers-next-coach-whoever-it-is-faces-a-rebuild-that-could-take-years-politi.html
