We have been aware of this departure for awhile.... best of luck to him at Rutgers.
Our focus is on the search for the next HC .... to lead our program

Yes best to Augie .  SJR needs as SJR person from staff to continue the train . They have one of the best staffs and to look outside would be a mistake.

Top 4 candidates for the SJR job:

Stern- current OC

Marangi- current DC

Kevin Wright- former IMG HC

Pat Shurmur- former Giants HC ;)

I think Stern would be the best choice. The job he did at Saint Peter’s College alone was amazing. He made a non-scholarship D-1AA program a must see attraction in Jersey City. Took his Peacocks to FAU and beat Howard Schnellenberger’s squad 19-0.

Here's an article about the job Stern did at SPC:

Never knew that about Stern...definitely had no idea St. Peter’s even fielded a football team!  Was he burnt out from college coaching? Wonder why he went back to HS after the turnaround job he did with the Peacocks...would have thought he could have parlayed that success to another college gig.
