De La Salle (CA) at North Shore (TX)

FB group says De La Salle is going to be senior heavy and very good this year. Obviously North Shore brings back an explosive play-maker at QB but I know they lose some studs. Game is in Texas (obviously)

Who ya got? If NS is as good as they’ve been the last two years it would be hard to pick against them at home

NS will be bigger up front & faster. DLS has better coaching and if they can fix the fumbling problem they should make few mistakes. DLS will lose their best player from this past years team and will have more guys going both ways than NS will. It'll be hot & nasty weather in Houston that time of year too. I think NS wins at home by 10-14. Similar score to DLS/STA this year.

😂. Where do you pull this from?  No way in hell you’ve assessed each teams unit level coaches.

knowing what I now know about the potential distractions leading up to the SC game last year, and keeping his team focused, I’ll take NS staff over many.  They’re good!

Ive seen DLS a million times. They put together great game plans and execute what they do phenomenally. They get the most out of their roster every year. I attribute that to great coaching. DLS will go in to Tx with much less talent than NS and will give them trouble for 48 mins. Not saying NS isn't well coached, just saying I'd roll with DLS in that department. NS staff is very good and I love how he takes no shit. Kept it rolling without the 5 star rb in the final, I think that was a great move.

This coach has won 3 championships out of the past 6 seasons.  He and his staff know how to coach, the difference will be negligible.

when you talk about high execution, playing above talent level that describes Katy.  I think the game will be similar .  If DLS has a lot of 2 way players they will get worn out well before the 4th

I agree with that take. Definitely can't win state titles at that level w/o great coaching. The difference will be minimal, I should've worded differently. I've seen DLS dominate & with Lad still being around up there it's hard to take any staff over them. Didn't mean to imply NS does not have a good staff.  I hope we get to see DLS/Katy eventually because of the similarities.

That’s who I actually wanted to see Katy/DLS.  Maybe in the future.

Horsefly is just a sissy who feels triggered by talk of coaching that doesn't crown Texas as the best.

This will be the biggest problem.

If this is their first game of the year, that may also hurt a little.

It is the 1st game.  And it’s an issue I’m sure the coaches are wanting to address well before then. Will be curious to see how spring training goes, intensity, etc.
