eaglesinsider
With a 12-9 win over Notre Dame Prep, the McDonogh girls ended their season by clinching their 9th consecutive Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference Championship, 8th consecutive undefeated season and 8th consecutive national championship. One more year will have them at or near 200 wins. Two more years should break the all-time team sports record of 218 by a girls' basketball team from Louisiana in the 1940s and 50s.

World Citizen
That is pretty damn cool right there. The record by girls basketball team in 40 50's was all local/regional competition probably so If this team breaks the record it may be one that never gets broken. Maybe. They don't shy away from tough OOC games despite playing in the best conference in the nation. The crazy thing is this isn't even the first 100+ game winning streak their HC has been apart of. He also won 106 games (the previous record win streak in girl's lax) in a row at Mount Hebron HS in the early 2000s.
