Ga96
Valdosta Wildcats today. Im not impressed by coaches that have to recruit to win. Doesn't take much of a coaching effort when you out talent teams at every position with starters and backups. Take the talent away and you find out who the real coaches are that can build players into good to great talent.

If not, why stress yourself out by worrying what's going on in Wildcat country?

Im a Lowndes alumni so why wouldn't I pay attention to the crosstown rival? Im not stressing over it but if there was no valdosta there would be no Lowndes so why would I want to see that program down ?

I honestly hope he walks away. As a matter of fact, he should run away!!! All real legit coaches would love to coach Valdosta. Your "buddy" rush will be the first to tell you that. They're full of BS just like you. Those same vebters will tell you that both valdosta coaches are the best to do it and are great men. Is it that hard for you to put that together? I know for a fact hyder did no such thing he and his wife were strict on those kids about school and work even had them attending summer school to graduate on time. And if you're more worried about your crosstown rival than your own alumni, then you have a problem......senorita.

Serious question: why would the Valdosta administration fly Coach Sanchez in for an interview if they did not believe that he is a skilled coach and worthy of the job? They could just bring in a local coach from GA or FL. Maybe they want to be in contention for a MNC and feel that he is the best guy for that goal. Kudos to the admins at Valdosta!

He was in a different world over there. No offense. If he comes into Valdosta, he'll have to bring together a shattered base or he will have zero chance at doing anything big there. Not saying he can't do that, but, money is important, and, with the money base being shattered at the moment, he'll have a lot of work to do outside of football. He'll definitely have a chance to prove his mettle as a coach in region 1 though. I'd certainly be interested to see whether he was for real or not. Again, no offense, I just think the world is THAT different over here.

I ain't saying he can't do it. Because I believe in giving people a chance before I cast my judgement. But Georgia Football is a far cry from Nevada football... And Valdosta is one the most unforgiving canvases and schools in the state... He's gonna have to run deep on his first season...

Plus, he'd never be able to travel OOS due to the exorbitant expenses involved. One can't win a MNC without OOS victories over power privates. The best coaches never put much/any value into winning anything that has the word "mythical" in the title. You're selling a narrative not bought into by the overwhelming majority (95%+) of HS coaches.

Well the administration did allow them to play Chandler in the Geico bowl series.
