I hope the kids from cali are ready to play down here. The gnats are off the chain down here this year and we are already having July heat and humidity in May.... I'm sure they are used to the heat ........but the humidity coupled with the gnats.... that's a whole different beast

I think I have three gnats in my right nostril as I type...

These suckers are turrible this year. They have mass when you wave your hand to move them aside. ...and No Gnatz doesn't phase them this year it seems. xD

"GNATS: Gnats, tiny bugs, are the cause of a number of deaths in South Georgia each year. Some of these deaths have been attributed to swallowing a large number of gnats while talking or eating. Some also think the reason a lot of South Georgians disappear and are never heard from again is they are carried off by giant swarms of gnats and drowned in the Okefenokee Swamp. " Lewis Grizzard ????

I think this is the year that I buy the gnat hat. Over the last couple of years, No Gnatz seemed to work pretty good, but this year, unless you have a dog hanging around whose rear end can keep at least some of the gnats occupied, you are in trouble. They fly in and test the air, and as soon as the lemon scent is diminished they are all over you again.

I'm worried. I mean.. VM is one of the best teams in America and they might put up 70 against an inferior team in Colquitt. I don't even know why Rush agreed to take on a giant like VM

I don't imagine that VM will have all that much of an issue acclimating to the South Georgia humidity.  I think they'll fare fine.  They have have some fun with the Colquitt crowd environment.  We don't get out much...so we have our fun of Friday nights....(Smile).

Should be a dandy....

Trust me y'all have many advantages in this game.  No doubt.  VM is crazy for taking this game.  They are not at the calquit level.  In every conceivable way.  Now add in humidity and this game is over by the end of the 1st quarter.

GA's top team?

Colquitt isn't preseason #1 in their region nor in the 7A classification.

Carry on though, we are already aware that you know nothing about football outside of Concord.

Ya know...if Colquitt could land a WR coach...and possibly a decent DC...and maybe entice a serious athlete who decided to only play baseball to join the team for his Senior year....we could have a shot at winning our region.

I mean...you can dream....

I recall Bosco going to Prattville .

The AL fanswere sure the heat would take a toll. Well it did, on them. No joke. They kept losing players to it not bosco.

Or before the first DLS game, no team was as finally conditioned as DLS.  Turned out they could no keep up in that category.

Point is, VM will fall to the heat or not fall to the heat based on their program.
