Only issue now is Axel wants to impose his Alpha will on every dog he sees. Currently adopted a Weimaraner(14 months) that was unintentionally abused the former owners crated him excessively due to energy levels living in a townhome. I take my Rottie and Weimaraner out for 2-3 mile runs most every day.... I bike, the dogs run, I keep pace with them. Keeps their nails trimmed back, keeps their minds sharp and the energy out of the body, a tired dog is a good and happy dog. Had one in High school and would about destroy the Crib if he didn’t explore outside the fence, dude was the baddest Mofo on the hiking trail, people almost walking off the cliff to avoid walking past a Rottweiler but the dog was a Sweetheart. Funny when we would make it to top of Ramapo Mountain where he would run in the lake from being exhausted and he would skip and play in.
