Surgeon General reporting that Italy and China deaths are leveling off and beginning to decline. Expects the same in the US beginning in the next couple of weeks. That’s great news! 👍

That depends on who you ask. Nancy and Chuck would love to see this keep going.

The market likes the world record $2T stimulus pkg the Senate approved.

That too. Trump's history with the market and this stimulus package are a winning combo! Though, is it actually passed by the Senate? There was a "drafting error" that would potentially enable people to collect more in unemployment than if they were actually at work. Several Senators poo poo'd it and declaring that they wouldn't vote yay on it if the language wasn't changed.

By the way, this is a lie.

Rick Scott is one of the Senators and he's principally opposed to unemployment benefits and will fight tooth and nail to make sure this bill has as little of it as possible.

  • The three claim the language gives incentives for employees to lose their jobs because they would make more from the government than if they kept working
  • 'Unless this bill is fixed, there is strong incentive for employees to be laid off instead of going to work,' they wrote in a statement

An employee can't lay themselves off and quitting is a disqualification.

This is the same language Rick Scott used to gut the unemployment system in Florida.

Same bullshit as before.

Not surprised that you are clueless on this.

It would be guilt-free, bitterness free layoffs. Lay off now and employees happy to return later. Win-win for employer and employee.

Nobody should get a raise for losing their job.

Carry on being a dick, Andy.

You just making stuff up again and pretending that you know about a topic.

Rick Scott's arguments are incoherent and they have been for the entire time that he's been a public figure.

He tried to drug test welfare recipients in Florida back in 2011 because he assumed that they were on drugs. When it came back that they were half as likely to test positive as the general population he had to withdraw the program in embarrassment.

This is what he does.

He runs with his personal opinions as policy and then fishes for reasons to defend it later.

A factual one though.

A lying dick like you is hard to justify.

By the way, you didn't actually address my point which is that Rick Scott will make sure there is as little unemployment benefits as possible in this bill. And he's doing just that.

I made a common sense observation.

And then you decided to vent irrelevant frustrations you have with your governor, who is only one of three men involved.

You made a guess. Not a point.

And, again, it isn't just Scott.

just like some people think it's a "common sense observation" to drug test welfare recipients.

You're just pulling stuff straight out of your ass.

Angry Andy  🤣

It was a logical, common sense observation.

My ass wasn't involved, Andy.
