So under Obama there were 6 years to replace the mask supply and nothing was done and so far as we know he didn't push for it. This was due to something that actually happened on his watch.

Trump comes in, with most people not having this on their radar (as the depletion didn't occur under him) but he is just as much if not more responsible.

Of course he’s to blame we have the Dir of SNS say he briefed Cong on the shortfalls, like he had for years.  This was trumps team, he even moved SNS oversight from the CDC to preparedness and readiness.

The current issue is the shortfall remained AFTER  Obama’s tenure ended.

 You really are struggling with administration oversight and control.  Trump could have very well reestsblished , created any dept or agency he felt was needed.

The “cupboard empty“ has been addressed and the Dir of Strategic National Stockpiles statements were posted on the decision made to buy critical vaccines instead of masks.  He even stated it’s not his agencies responsibility to be the sole source for supplies, but only a short term measure until production is surged to meet state demands. 

nonetheless, trump could have approved a supplemental budget to meet stockpile shortfalls. He didn’t...

I know facts are hard for you to swallow, but it’s why it’s more important to read non political articles and journals instead of the news rags all the time

Now we know they're being stockpiled.

Local NY officials, including top health officials, told New Yorkers to go about their business and make sure the Chinese New Year festival had a great crowd.  Why? To be woke.  Where's the criticism?
