Trump creates hysteria and chaos where there doesn’t need to be any.  the medical community identified the use of the drug, not trump.  You folks act as if it’s his idea.  😂

all that needs to be said is “there are several drugs being tested and trialed and we are hopeful for their outcome and thankful to the dedication of our medical community throughout the world in addressing this pandemic.  I now turn it over to Dr Fauci to address the specifics on what is being done....”

The fucking media acts like it was his idea. All he did was say their appears to be a drug that is working why not give it a shot.

A Dem lawmaker praising Trump for touting Chloroquine. Why isnt this a good thing? Becuase Trump touted the drug. Trump is bad, Trump is mean, blah, blah fucking blah.

Why is this Dem lawmaker praising Trump bell? Why are you not happy she is alive today because of a drug Trump touted?

If he doesn't, his kids do, or his friend of a friend. People are idiots Rufus. I know you already knew that though.

Hell, there's a thread on here somewhere wondering why the rain doesn't wash COVID 19 away. xD

We've got other one's on here lambasting the press for holding accountable, the president, who is notably not a doctor to task on medicine and who should get it.

And the most severe are being tested on a trial basis!  That hasn’t changed THC.  But before we remedy this to the general public we document usage, effects etc. That must be done.

Tell that to people laying in their death bed.

One of his gazillion mutual funds has some shares of Sanofi lol. Yours probably does, too.

FWIW, even George Conway is calling this out as a dumb take.

So far it has been used in treating people with little to mild symptoms.  There is limited evidence it speeds up the recovery from symptoms.  It has not cured those more severe.

Lastly, the FDA already approved it for emergency trial use here in the states.  It doesn’t need endorsement from a president touting “take it, what do we have to lose” type BS.

Donald Trump Has Stake In Hydroxychloroquine Drugmaker: Report

Ron Dicker

Huff Post‎ April‎ ‎7‎, ‎2020‎ ‎7‎:‎29‎ ‎AM

President Donald Trump reportedly owns a stake in a company that produces hydroxychloroquine, the anti-malaria drug he has repeatedly touted as a coronavirus treatment even though his experts say there’s no strong evidence it works.

Trump “has a small personal financial interest” in Sanofi, the French drugmaker that makes Plaquenil, the brand-name version of hydroxychloroquine, The New York Times reported Monday.

In addition, Sanofi’s largest shareholders include a mutual fund company run by major Republican donor Ken Fisher, the paper said. Trump’s three family trusts, as of last year, each had investments in a mutual fund whose largest holding was Sanofi, according to the Times. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross also had ties to the drugmaker, the Times reported.

Trump’s “assertiveness” in promoting the drug contrary to the recommendation of top health experts “has raised questions about his motives,” the Times noted.

A chorus of Trump supporters with no medical expertise have backed the president’s urging of doctors to treat COVID-19 patients with the drug, including his personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, and Fox News host Sean Hannity.

In the face of warnings from top infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci that the drug’s safety and effectiveness are uncertain in treating COVID-19, Trump has continued to laud its supposed benefits.

“What do you have to lose?” he asked at a press briefing this week urging those sick with the virus to take the drug.

Turns out plenty.

“There could be deaths,” American Medical Association President Dr. Patrice Harris said. “This is a new virus, and so we should not be promoting any medication or drug for any disease that has not been proven and approved by the FDA.”

Generic drugmakers also are gearing up to produce hydroxychloroquine pills. One of those companies was co-founded by Trump golfing buddy Chirag Patel, according to the Times.

The White House didn’t immediately answer HuffPost’s request for comment.

What do you got to say now Tex??...:$

The people that have been treated were mild and less severe.  It appears the drug has quicken their recovery.  It has not restored the health of those are on their death beds.

still, it will be tested accordingly, that’s what the medical community does, and that’s what’s going on now, it’s the very reason it’s even being discussed as an option. However, rest assured the medical community isn’t waiting to get their medical marching orders from trumps edicts nor his endorsements.

I already told you all he needs to say on the matter.

This is what is quoted from Newsweek.  She hadn’t even been diagnosed with coronavirus at that point, she took this drug OTC the day of her test!  Her being on her “deathbed” is hyperbole only being touted by her and not a Dr.

“...Whitsett did not receive hydroxychloroquine until the day of her coronavirus test. She was able to have her husband pick up the medication after her symptoms reached a critical phase.
Hospitals in her area were full.”

I ate at buffalo wild wings one time after a long night drinking. I got sick later. I swear that buffalo wild wings made me sick. I'll never eat there again.

Is this evidence that buffalo wild wings makes people sick for you?

Same bullshittery that you're attempting to pass as evidence that hydroxychloroquine works.

General responses tofolks:

Generic hydroxychloroquine pills sell for 32 cents each.

"Hydroxychloroquine was approved for medical use in the United States in 1955.[2] It is on the World Health Organization's List of Essential Medicines, the safest and most effective medicines needed in a health system.[6] In 2017, it was the 128th-most-prescribed medication in the United States, with more than five million prescriptions.[7]"

If Trump endorsed water you people would go 24/7 about the risk of drowning.

Dr. Anthony Cardillo said he has seen very promising results when prescribing hydroxychloroquine in combination with zinc for the most severely-ill COVID-19 patients.

"Every patient I've prescribed it to has been very, very ill and within 8 to 12 hours, they were basically symptom-free," Cardillo told Eyewitness News. "So clinically I am seeing a resolution."

Cardillo is the CEO of Mend Urgent Care, which has locations in Sherman Oaks, Van Nuys and Burbank.

He said he has found it only works if combined with zinc. The drug, he said, opens a channel for the zinc to enter the cell and block virus replication.

So it only works with zinc?

What about the study with azithromycin that people were so hot on before?

Did he disprove that study with this study?

Doesnt matter what Drs are saying. They want people dead so they can blame Trump.

Like I said can you imagine the uproar if trump would have bashed this drug?
