paladin4ever
A while back, rumors floated around that Ray Rice had joined the coaching staff at Don Bosco Prep. Turned out to be false. Ray was just there to give a talk to the boys. Now, however, Rice had landed himself a gig as running backs coach at New Rochelle High School, his alma mater. I had a feeling this would happen sooner or later. Despite his transgressions, a man still needs to work and provide for his family.Hopefully, he can help the NewRo boys to a winning season and share how his actions led to consequences that can effect you for a very long time. http://www.nj.com/rutgersfootball/index.ssf/2017/06/ray_rice_is_keeping_high_school_football_but_not_i.html

Hyaaaah! Hyaaaah! Git em boys!

But smacking your wife around in a well publicized video is tough to get past.

He will not play football ever again. But, even ex-convicts can get hired somewhere.
NYHSFAN33
He is a volunteer coach, not being paid. Secondly, he has been coaching at New Ro on and off depending on his schedule for years. This in addition to the annual football camp he runs in New Ro. Just so happens this year it is being "Reported on." He has given a lot to the New Rochelle community both during and after his NFL career.

Yet he gets a second chance. Rice hit his now wife and she is an adult who still stuck around. His kids do not have a choice to have him as a dad. We all know its Trumps fault. Seems like I remember folks on here from both sides of the eisle so-to-speak, bashing Colquitt and Rush for his past transgressions, so it obviously isn't just a liberal thing, tyvm. HawgGoneIt
Personally I'm glad that the guy is trying to do something positive. It would be nice if everyone that had issues in their past would do positive stuff in spite of the ridicule of the family values party. Family values party Can't even say that ish with a straight face anymore.

New Rochelle HS is a liberal school with about 3000 plus students...Andrea Mitchell the leftist reporter went there too... Used to live there as a kid.. There have been murderers that have been given 2nd chances also for whatever reason. I truly understand both sides of this discussion.
CCBlackhatter
I'm thankful for 2nd chances. I would be up shit creek if not. A person that can admit to wrongdoing and then make the necessary changes to right his or herself gets more respect from me than the person casting stones from a distance.
