FootballGuy
On offense, which is more important: a strong passing attack or a strong run game? On defense, which is more important: a great run defense or a great pass defense?
Warrior
Passing Game on O keeps you in most games. Stopping the run on D is always 1st for most DC's but the game is changing with the need for more skilled guys with speed on D.
Bormio
Depends on the level of football. In the NFL, it is all about the passing, although a good run game may take you that last step. Likewise, a good pass defense is essential, but that involves all 11 players. In high school, a good run game can take you farther.

A good run game is very important tho
954gator
I'd say if you can't run or stop the run you're in trouble. Even teams like Centennial do have legit running games, they just don't run them out of your more common running formations. I'd say on O run game, on D run stopping. LiberalDonaldTrump
I'd take a strong running game if my D is A++ i can game manage and milk the clock
HawgGoneIt
I think a great running game can make a decent passing game look pretty strong and vice versa for a strong passing game elevating the run game in high school. I agree with gator that on defense, you need to be able to stop the run above being able to cover.
NYHSFAN33
Offense = whatever moves the ball for you. Defense = have to stop the run game first. If a team can chew up yards on the ground against you, they might never put the ball in the air.

I love their style of play

Buford would chew up the clock and keep Cen10's offense off the field.

thc6795
In high school you have to be able to run the ball and stop the ball. High school is all about possessions. By running it down your opponent s throat you limit their number of possessions. Time of possession is huge in high school.
