OT: A Tired Old Hawg....BUT....

WE'RE BACK ON THE ISLAND !!!!!!

 

Enjoyed New Orleans and the Oyster Festival...but it feels SO good to be back in the comforts of home.  We left Amelia last Wednesday...made stops in Mobile, Biloxi and Bay St. Louis.  Got into the French Quarter just after lunch last Friday.  Had us a ball.  Great music...Great oysters....Great beignets...and Great Abita.

The weather pretty much cooperated.  A tad of rain...but nothing we couldn't handle.  Now we're just gonna settle in and recruit Colquitt a few more athletes.  Gotta do something to compete with Grayson, Marietta and Lowndes.  Like Rush said...

"Rufus, we ain't gonna forfeit no matter what.  We gonna Hawg Up and play till the final whistle stops blowing."

Sounds like a Plan to me.......

We did.  Saw the shucking comp on Saturday as well.  How somebody can eat that many oysters in 8 minutes (I think) is beyond me.  I personally downed about 2 1/2 doz. in two days...(Smile).

Really enjoyed the music.  The Pontchartrain Wrecks...the Brassaholics...Flow Tribe and....Luke Winslow King....put on GREAT shows.

Worth the trip.....
