LOL National Championship ?????????

None of these teams would even get out of the Round robin stage of the "Battle on the Beach".

These are Regional Events to determine who plays in the actual 7on National Championship in July @ Hoover AL

Outside of the usual 3, SJB, MD, and Cen10... that BatB 7on is a cast of nobodies

Why not sign some of your favorites up for it then. They have a qualifier in Orange County.

looking at that line-up, I'm sure at least one Trinity League school could get through to the big show in Hoover.

West Forsyth NC is #2 in NC according to CPs preseason rankings.

Trotwood-Madison #13 in OH and probably the most well known D3 team in OH.

Some people know Timber Creek NJ... in 2016, they were the highest ranked non-"Sig 6" team in NJ.

Thomas Jefferson PA is pretty much always ranked in the 10-20 range in PA.

Absolutely no clue who Silver Oaks MD is.

Shenendehowa NY always participates in 7ons in the NE Region. Not a great team at all... but may win a 7on game or 2.

Plainfield North IL had a good 2016, and finished as a top 10 IL team. But they 2017 team is expected to fall off a bit, as they lost a good many starters and contributors.

Martinsburg WV is THE premier West Virginia team. The absolute best WV has to offer, whatever that means.

Maine South IL won the IL 8A State Championship last year. Upsetting a Loyola Academy team that was in the midst of a great 2-3 year run.

Louisville Male KY won the whole Hoover-now-USAFootball 7on7 2 years ago and a state championship to boot. They are a solid team most years.

Kenton OH used cheap tactics to win the 2013 7on7 Championship. How good they are now idk...

DePaul...well.... they are DePaul.

Darien CT is consistently one of the best in Connecticut.

Bergen Catholic is probably the most loaded team in NJ.

Aiken OH is a D4 nobody.

Not to be disrespectful but I know the wine, Silver Oak, but who is the school?

Silver Oak is a privately-run prison school (youth correctional facility) in rural northern Carroll County with about 60 boys in the whole school. It used to be called Bowling Brook for several years before a kid died under restraint by the guards and they brought in new owners and renamed it in the late-2000s.

They schedule ambitiously and their coach, Coach McLeod, does a great job with making the kids better men but they are not in the top 100 best teams in MD. They'll be the most respectful and well-behaved team in the tourney but that's about it.

MaxPreps had them at #137 in MD last year. They were 1-11 and were outscored 88-554, being running-clocked in 10 of 11 losses. Their results against teams people on this board would recognize: Imhotep Charter (PA) 62-0, Saint Frances 47-0, Fort Hill 55-6, Mount Saint Joseph 57-0, Caravel (DE) 38-0 and Friendship Collegiate (DC) 54-6.

I don't see a championship event listed though....only regional championships.

Yeah, you're right. There are four national championship series events that are by invite only. Then the rest are regional events.

Looks like Tow Mater Day would need to play in a regional series in order to prove their worth for an invite to the national series in Orange County next year.

Sucks to be them on the outside looking in. Not worthy of an invite and all.

xD
