In all your posts, all these years, on any subject, when you reply to some one, after the reply is finished you add one more line to personally insult your fellow posters.

Why?

peace

I reply in like kind....

most everyone already knows this.

Simple, he is not at peace! Troll is an intelligent man with a dark mind. The former distinguishes him from Concha. The latter they share in common.

Close...But my mind is at peace...

PS: do you think one must understand darkness, before one can know true peace? 🤔

People protest over things they consider unacceptable.

Protest. Not destroy. The left is destroying everything for everyone on purpose. Their violence is infringing upon the right of everyone. Unless you hate the Constitution, this is unacceptable and not even debatable

I have never given that much thought. I have certainly seen my share of darkness during the course of my life. Most of it over the final ten years of my childhood when I lived with mom. Have I ever understood it? Some of it, yes. But I have also seen acts of violence I found incomprehensible. I devoted a thread back in 2017 or 2018 to the effect it had on me when I realized gunmen had forced little children, all under 10 back into a burning building in the campaign leading up to the 1976 general election in Jamaica. That was an act of incomprehensible darkness. I could also make the argument (with a straight face, though I know you will disagree) that deliberately downplaying the effects of Covid-19 and not doing everything possible to ensure the safety of the populace is also an act of unspeakable darkness, but I think I understand the motivation here, though I cannot understand how a human could do that given the potential for tens of thousands of deaths as a consequence. But, I guess I am not surprised. In the last 100 years or so: Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Idi Amin, I could go on and on ... have been directly responsible for mass murder on an incomprehensible scale.

I guess I will just end thus: Humans have the capacity to do unfathomable evil. But they also have the capacity to perform immense acts of kindness and heroism. Me, I am neither a genocidal maniac nor a saint. I just observe it all sometimes with wonder.

Always the victim never progress themselves

This is a wildly ignorant post.

You have no clue how little you know of the world.

Most observe from only one side or angle...

a view from all sides eliminates much of the wonder.

some have said the ability to entertain thoughts you don't agree with is a sign of intelligence...

I see it more a sign of just being open minded.

🤷‍♂️

It's not me tearing down what we do have.

It;s the right wrecking the world order that was set up by us post world war two to benefit us,

It's insane really. Just flat out greed. It's why Putin supports TRump.

It's not just the right, though the market for luxury SUVs and high-end home workout equipment is booming right now, while the percentage of Americans who have defaulted on their federally backed mortgages is higher than it has been since 1971. We continue to pay more by far for healthcare, but we don't live longer. We work more than they do in other first-world countries, but we carry more debt. Thoughtful people have worried about the growing disparity between the rich and the poor for some time now, but the right pretends that any policy aimed at correcting that problem isn't to be heard because that's socialism and socialism is bad.

The left, on the other hand, has become unhinged.

I put a pox on both their houses, and I say "pox" fully aware that we're in a pandemic.

Actually Trump is trying to address the disparity.  Not by worthless transfer payments.  But by restoring the jobs that created a middle class in this country.  You know, those jobs Democrats make fun of because they involve real work.
