Bishop Gorman's first loss in 3 seasons?

I would say Miami Central because Gorman usually catches hell with Florida teams. However, MC is gonna be overmatched in this game, so BG will win.

De La Salle? nah

DeMatha? Haven't seen too much of them, so idk about that game. 50-50 match-up imo.

Mater Dei? I'm gonna go ahead and tell them congratulations for their W against BG.

Who has the most likely chance?

-DeMatha

-Mater Dei

-Miami Central

-De La Salle?

I nominate Mater Dei. They will be the most talented team BG has faced and they will be playing at their home turf.

If Dematha really is a top 25 team, they should beat BG. If not MD will.

BG won't resemble what they've been the past 3 years. Way to much turnover for that program to be what they've been the past 3 years. They've never had the elite talent they had at the same time and they won't again, they'll go back to losing to the top teams, and beating teams not in the top 40 in the nation.

Gorman had hell with any team that was good prior to their 2014 teams.

2010 DLS beats them

2010 Centennial(AZ) beats them

2011 Armwood beats them

2011 They beat Servite on a last second FG. Servite was a top 3 or 4 Southern Section team, and was by far the best Servite team that ever played Gorman. Servite K choked this game away.

2012 BC beats them

2012 BG edges OLGC 27-22

2013 Mountain Pointe beats them and should've won by a lot more

2013 BTW beats them by 16

They struggled with Santa Margarita and Bergen Catholic as well in 2013. Needless to say, huge difference between those teams and the 2014-2016 versions

Young pups

2014 Beats Bingham(Game shouldn't have gone into Overtime.)

2014 Beats CC(Should've lost)

2014 Beats Bosco(game should've ended with a bigger margin)

2015 Never won a game by less than 2 scores

2015 Beats Chandler

2015 Beats Bingham

2015 Beats Bellevue

2015 Beats Don Bosco Prep

2016 Beats Bosco

2016 Beats STA

2016 Beats Cedar Hill

They got some studs for sure. Roland isn't a fool signing on games against IMG AND Bishop Gorman if he's not confident he's got strapped with a team this year. How do you feel about this years team?

I feel this team will be much improved from last year. Offense should put points with the right play calling. Defense front 7 will be strength early. My concern for the BG game is the cross country flight, difference in time zone, and dry heat of NV. But we will see.

Just curious why you feel Miami Central will be overmatched?

More talent on the BG side. Now don't get me wrong, I want Miami Central to win, but let's be real: all BG has to do is load the box against James Cook and he won't be as effective. I seen the Miami Central spring game, and y'all have some athletes, no doubt. The question is: do y'all have enough athletes to play with BG?

BG going to reload like always and lot of people close to the program think Dorian Thompson Robinson will be better qb than martell.

BG will easily be a top 25 team next year. That jr linebacker from last year (forget his name) is back .... kid will prob captain the defense .... he's a playmaker.

Honestly, I think any four of the OOS teams could beat BG. It's not like the teams slated before like Servite, Kahukua, Santa Margarita where you knew BG would win and this is their tune-up game.

I think any four of them are a threat to snap their streak.

I think it comes down to competent QB play for MC. If they get that, they have a shot. MNW/CCity/MC will all be filthy this year.

I have no confidence whatsoever with DLS winning any OOS, yet alone Bishop freaking Gorman. Who knows? The team they have this year is apparently nasty

DLS is supposed to be good this year. Who knows, the Bishop might end up with multiple losses.

DeMatha returns ALOT of their players from last season, but on paper it appears they have the second least talent after De La Salle

They have at least two significant transfers for a team that is considered by some to be as talented as any team that has ever come out of the Mid Atlantic.  This is why they're playing Gorman.  Right now they may be on par with the team that blew out Miami Central two years ago and followed with a victory over American Heritage Plantation.  Their O line is superb along with a national class tb.  The real question will be the qb who takes Beau English's place.  He is a sr and has a couple of starts but Gorman will be his first real test.

The same can be said of Gorman's qb:  incredible potential but he, too, is taking over the team for the first time.

Heat should not be a consideration:  DC, with humidity, is unfortunately as hot and uncomfortable as Vegas.  (Note:  as I type this 116 degrees is forecast for Tuesday and Wedmesday for Las Vegas with the temperature falling to 115 on Thursday and Friday  http://www.accuweather.com/en/us/las-vegas-nv/89101/daily-weather-forecast/329506?day=1 .  Even with humidity DC does not approach this....)

There is another perspective:  Gorman has four national class games in a row.  That can take a toll.
